It was very random. Even some cases filed in January this year got an update.

Which makes me believe it is nothing important..

Yeah, that’s what I was thinking too. It probably doesn’t mean anything in terms of processing. I saw some December and January filers with updates too. But still there’s this little happiness in seeing some change after so long. Lol.

@Everyone - Quick question: has anyone who applied ONLINE I-130 get Nebraska service center?

I did unfortunately... I hope it really doesn't take as long as everyone is saying. But I am wondering if online applications will be faster to process. Crossing my fingers!

Hi everyone! Did anyone notice a date change in their case status recently when logging into their USCIS account?

I did! Just saw that a few hours ago. It's been December 3rd for me the last couple of months and hadn't changed. But now it says February 23rd! I think that's a good sign haha.

It’s strange that many ppl have gotten the date change and on the same date (Feb 23). It makes me think it doesn’t mean anything. But if it’s good news, then that would be awesome!

Forgive me for asking a silly question; but what is this date? Is it the date our cases should be completed by? If lots have been pushed back, it means their processing times have been extending?! I hope not! I was hopeful NOA2 wouldn’t take more than 6 months from NOA1! Thanks all!

This date is actually the last time there was an update in the case status on the USCIS account. Whenever there’s any sort of movement in your case (for example: your case was touched or your case moved from one desk to another), last updated date in your USCIS account changes. If you log into your account and look at your case status, it will show the date it was last updated. My status is still the same (“In Process”), but the date has changed to February 23rd.

This does not sound good for me...My submitted date is 1st November 2019 and nothing has been updated.. :(

Don’t worry. Honestly, I don’t think it even means anything bcuz so many ppl have gotten this date change. Some of these ppl have filed very recently too, so I don’t think they will be processing their cases so soon.
