Maybe you should email the consulate to double-check?

I just heard back from them, and this is the response:

Effective July 01 2007, fee must be paid at the bank.

That's from the Vancouver consulate, but the checklist says that this is the payment method for consulates in Canada.

when did you receive your checklist? i'm guessing you have not yet received your letter for your interview in Vancouver?

I received the checklist last week, on June 7. It was mailed on June 6. So no, I haven't received the interview letter.

Off the US Consulate in Vancouver website:

"On the day of the appointment, applicants must appear in person, including any dependent children who are approved beneficiaries on the fiancé(e) visa petition. Applicants must bring with them originals of all documents requested, and 100 U.S. dollars cash in exact change per applicant. If approved, the visas will be issued within two workdays."

I'm thinking an email is in order.

Just got an email from the Vancouver consulate too.

"Effective July 01 2007, you will need to pay the bank the $100USD application prior to your interview. Deposit slips can be downloaded at http://amcits.com/vancouver.asp."

Would've been nice if they'd said that on the interview letter!
