I didn’t add my husband and sent a copy of the deed at least showing what I wrote was true-that I was the owner and that I bought at a time that left me upside down in the mortgage and there was no advantage for either of us to even try and change that for now.  That would only have the effect of creating debt for him with no viable asset to go with it.  I felt we had plenty of other proof we live together so I’m not worried about it.

If you're moving, my advice is don't bother with the deed. At our AOS interview we were asked why we didn't have this type of proof (lease/deed) and we simply answered that my husband bought the house before we met.

My answer would have been "Because we got a better interest rate and a 10 minute loan pre-approval by not including an unemployed immigrant." We also did not interview for AOS or ROC.

I also made it all the way without being on the deed/mortgage or a single bill in my name. There are many other things you can do for proof.

That's what I figured. I also added him to my bank account so we have joint accounts plus all the utilities. Just wondering if anyone else has not added their spouse and been okay.

I did not add my wife to the deed of my house.  It was not raised during the AOS interview.
