All,

I wanted to share the templates (attached) I created as cover letters in support of submitting your application for I-485/765/131. I've used these and got first pass with no RFE.

The templates walk you through for both adult and child what documents will need to be included with your submission packet.

While I've highlighted in yellow the areas which need to be completed, it's a good idea to read through the entire letter and make sure all sections are still relevant and updated as instruction documents are also getting updated.

Feel free to share with others or on other forums.

Hey guys!!!

I'm new in the group... and together with my spouse sent the AOS package on Nov. 19... I'm filling out in PA so I guess the Local Office will be Philadelphia. Has anyone here filling in Philly? Time frames? Any advice is always welcome.

Good luck to y'all in this process.

We are in the same area, we sent all the AOS stuff and got a notice for biometrics quickly. Hoping the rest of the process goes smoothly.

I called Tier 2 and the officer I spoke with acted like we shouldn't need the I-693, but he would not second guess the officer that sent out the request for the I693's. The IO that I spoke with said if they are asking for an I-693, you better get one. I hate to spend $900 for two I-693's when they are really not required..... I have a K1 & K2, so the fees are x 2.

We will have these exams done, even though I think it is unnecessary...… At least I found someone that will do the I693's for $200 each

Hey guys, what's the efficient way of packaging the forms for mailing? I was thinking each form (and accompanying documents) would be in separate envelopes (4), then maybe put all 4 envelopes together in one bigger container... What do you guys think? Are there any restrictions or rules to follow regarding this?

I used one big envelope  for all. Each form with its supporting documents I used a small clip/clamp to hold that particular  form and supporting documents together. So I had 4 clips total. Then put them together and wrapped several large rubber bands around them putting the I-485 on top as the first form (behind the check and form G-1145). Then inserted all that into a envelope then took it to FEDEX  and used a medium FedEx mailing box...very neat very simple.

Mailed my AOS packet on November 20th (I-485 + I-765, opted not to do I-131 for now, no need). USPS is showing it's out for local delivery in Chicago. Hoping to hear something soon and will post here when something changes.

Hey, have you heard anything yet ? I filed the same day :)

Hey!

Yeah I filed on 11/12, they received my package at the lockbox on 11/13, and I got 4 text messages on the morning of 11/20 with my case numbers and charges on my husbands credit cards.

Just waiting on the hardcopies to come in the mail. How about you?
