Does anyone think they will EVER start scheduling green card interviews anytime soon? This is getting ridiculous!

they are opening Application Centres throughout July and I hope this means they are back to work with all green cards!

I just got a notification two days ago that my interview was scheduled. Waiting for the official mail notice. My initial interview was scheduled for end of April, and I'm at the Cleveland local office.

Congrats. I have just called USCIS. I was told to be patient, the offices are slowly reopening.

Good luck to everyone!

My medical has now expired. I took it in June. I was supposed to have my interview in April but due to COVID, it got pushed to August. Does anyone think they're going to make us retake it?

Foreign medical doesn't expire as long as you FILE for AOS within 1 year. The date of the interview does not matter.

Hey everybody! So I keep hearing about people getting their green cards without interviews. Any word on how true that is?? Also, has anybody ran into the issue with Drivers license expiring before the green card interview? I am going to call our local DMV today but yesterday the USCIS says there is nothing they can do. My wife's DL expires this August 13th. Lastly, I can't find any information about work permit extensions. Help.

A handful of people got GC without interview. Some of them is being called for an interview even after receiving the GC.

You need to use your EAD to get a new driver's license. If your EAD is also expiring, apply for renewal and then use the letter that extends the EAD for 180 days. Then, when you get the new EAD, use that to extend your driver's license again.

I have been talking with my DL department and they say they can only go off marriage date. What form does one use to extend the EAD?

DL is gonna be based on the EAD expiration. I never seen any DMV using marriage date to give someone a driver's license. They're gonna check you on the save database.

To renew EAD you need to apply for it. Send forms 765 and 131 with all the required documents. The NOA 1 from the renewal will serve as an extension for your current EAD.
