I thought of a great idea of how the USCIS could continue to process AOS cases. Zoom! Yes Zoom interviews, it only makes sense than just letting cases pile up! They could create a link where we could upload any documents they need during the video interview call.

Status for EAD changed today to new card being produced. NOA date was November 21.

Now my wife has the documentation needed to take a driving test - but the DMV office is closed.

On the plus side, I can file our joint tax return before July 15.

Tell her I feel her. I'm in the same boat. Finally have the EAD but the DMV is closed 😣

Yeah, I really, really should have moved to get her a SS card shortly after she arrived, instead of waiting 2+ months and blowing the deadline. If she had a SS card she could have taken the written driving test and maybe been practicing driving with a permit all this time.

I think some states might be waiving the written tests right now and letting 16 year olds drive with their parents, but I'm not sure.

"New card is being produced for EAD" status changed today! And also my application was ready for interview on 04/30!

I am soooo happy! My NOA1 is 11/21.

Good luck everyone !

New cardbeing produced for me today too! However I did submit an expedite request on Monday because I have a job offer waiting. But my NOA date is late November too so seems like it would have been coming anyway. Congrats everyone!

And with the light traffic this would be the perfect time for her to be practicing driving before traffic gets heavy again.
