Don't get scared because nobody on VJ got an approval on Saturday and Sunday, also known as weekend 😉😉

Well I know people get updates on the weekends, I have before. So I figured it was the same for the EAD and that there would've been some approvals today. 🤷‍♀️

I know 😊 and I also hope that there won't be any or at least not too many delays due to the virus but I guess it's not in our hands. And I guess job hunting wouldn't be easy these days anyways

Generally the posted approvals are on weekdays, not weekends.  I am concerned though - no approvals at all today the 16th.

As far as AP is concerned, it would actually make some sense for the US government to say "We're indefinitely suspending issuance of Advance Parole to AoS applicants." Because we don't want them leaving the USA and going back to their home countries like China, Italy, Iran etc. and then exercising their "right" to return to the USA as spouses of Americans.

Of course, there's no reason to freeze EADs. Now more than ever some recent immigrants of spouses need to work, as the American petitioner may have lost wages or be experiencing job insecurity.

***IMPORTANT, THEY ARE POSTPONING INTERVIEWS***

My AOS interview was supposed to be tomorrow.

Unfortunately, the USCIS field office of Detroit just called to inform me that the appointment was cancelled due to coronavirus.

I will be sent a notice from USCIS with a new date and time.

It's so frustrating, I was so close :( But I understand they are trying to keep everyone safe.

Ugh I'm so sorry, that sucks! 😫Were they honest with you about having lost it? Or did they ask you for it during the interview? I've lost my DS-3025 and I've been worried about that, but I don't think they'd accept a photocopy anyway(that had time to be altered) of just vaccinations if they've lost the whole medical. How much is it to have it done here? (I know it varies)

It is shameful that you have to pay hundreds of dollars now because of their screw-up!

They said “state” didn’t send it to them. I could ask that they request it but it could take months if they even send it over. So they recommend I do it again. I had the cd of my chest X-ray and my vaccine report but wasn’t enough:( forgot to ask the doctor I am going to tomorrow how much just wanted it done ASAP before they shut down and I am in limbo

I’m sure others have seen it, but USCIS is temporarily suspending in person immigration services due to COVID-19. 😓

They also seem to be drastically slowing down on approving EAD/AP, if you look at the timelines on this site and compare the number of daily approvals prior to March 11 to the number of daily approvals since March 11.

I've noticed that too. It says on their website that they'll continue processing cases like normal, but it sure doesn't seem like it. Does anyone know if USCIS adjudicators can still telecommute (work from home)?

I'm okay with waiting for my green card, but I know we are all anxiously awaiting that EAD/AP. Almost feels like life is on hold😓

It's sad that most of us are now going to be delayed more than usual, be it for interviews and EAD/AP. Even worse for people who were about to fly into US.

Even with EAD I think the job market is taking a pause or will slowdown for 2+ months.

I have been applying for remote work positions (not because of the virus, this has been our goal since over a year so that we can travel more within the US while I work remotely), and haven't got any response back for last 2 weeks.

Hope everyone comes out of this healthy and not delayed too much on AOS timeline.

My wife's AoS from K-1 interview just got scheduled. We're in Las Vegas.  Here's the timeline recap:

Filed AoS - 11/14/2020

NOA - 11/21/2019

Received text message saying ready to be scheduled for interview - 1/27/2020

Received text message saying scheduled for interview - 3/13/2020

Received interview scheduling letter in the mail - 3/20/2020

Interview date - 4/21/2020

Exactly 5 months from NOA to interview date. No word yet on EAD or AP.
