Oh okay. That's why I sent tax transcripts because tax returns are so long and if you miss even a page they automatically issue RFE.

I haven't gotten my EAD or AP yet, I just applied last month

Had an RFIE for incorrect affidavit of support form. We ended up having to re submit supporting documents so we sent in the federal income tax return for 2018 but this time my husband submitted a version that only have 8 pages. The first time it had 132 pages. I’m mortified now because I don’t know what to expect. We got updated stating they received our response 10 days ago but no further update.

He probably sent in the Tax Return Transcript instead of the Tax Return, which USCIS actually prefers since it is much shorter and evidence from IRS that you submitted taxes and got a return. So don't be mortified - it's good he sent in the shortened Tax Transcript!

If you send Tax Transcript you don't need to send 1099s or W2s like you do with Tax Returns. We sent Tax Transcripts and it was much easier!

I am! Started lightly searching and have been ramping up my hunt this month. My GC interview is March 17... been telling prospective employers I can start around the end of March (but hoping my EAD comes even before my interview)

My case is "ready to be scheduled for an interview" as of 11 days ago,but still no update on EAD except the finger print update I got in early December :(

My interview has been scheduled for 12 days now and it has been 50 days since my fingerprints were uploaded to the case. I also have no movement on my EaD, but it’s only been 82 days... looks like it is taking around 105 lately so not worried

Hi guys!

Any Dallas filers here?

I got "case is ready to be scheduled for an interview" on Jan 11 and wait for the next.

Thanks!

Hey, would love to know if your interview has been scheduled yet! I'm also in Dallas and want to have a general idea of how long it takes to be scheduled here. 🤞

Unfortunately Dallas local office is one of the slowest, our local  office is Dallas I'm a September 2019 filer just over 5 months now. It's  taking in excess of 10 months to get interviewed and also takes awhile for the combo card. It seems to me that the combo card approval is tied to the scheduling of the interview even though they are approved in different locations. That's  the way it looks especially with Dallas filers.

Dallas is one of the slowest offices, I'm Dallas filer September 2019 just over 5 months no EAD either. It's  taking in excess of 10 months to get an interview the way it looks. I would  recommend when you find a Dallas filer to follow their timeline that way you'll  have an idea what others in Dallas are doing.

We just got an RFIE, one for birth certificate which we sent, and also asking for i-864 which we also sent!  Doesn't say anything is wrong or that income is insufficent, just a generic "submit a competed and signed form I-864 for the petitioning sponsor listed on Form i-130 or form i-129F.  it also states that "if you have submitted form i-864, the version you submitted is no longer accepted.  (I thought new forms were if postmarked later then feb 24?)

ugh of course i will call, since the instructions were so vague, (and of course frustrating since these were things already sent) but has anyone had this happen or can anyone offer clarification?  thanks!

Double check your computer for the forms you filled out. I knew my RFIE was coming because i submitted this form.

Thanks....I wish it were that easy...but definately filled out the i-864.  It doesn't say anything about the joint sponsor having to submit one (and one WAS used) and like I said the wording was so weird and vague, I'm just hoping that someone, even a level II can look into the case and explain further.  Scary since if I can't get an answer quickly I will have to use the new forms that everyone is so afraid of 😭

Hoping this is the week my EAD status changes from fingerprints received to approved. My interview has already been scheduled (2 weeks ago - interview is March 17)

My assumption is they wouldn't bother because once you go to the interview you can work anyway right? (fingers crossed that all goes well)

My interview is on the 4th and my EAD hasn't changed from fingerprints received, that is the only reason I could think why. Been 87 days since our application was received.

I'm still learning about all this and could be completely wrong, please someone correct me if so.
