Has anyone changed there name after filing your paperwork and before approval. I am wondering if this would have any effect on the process.

Could you be a little bit more specific? How did your name change after filing?

These are the regular steps people filing for AOS based on marriage follow:

1) Getting a K1 visa or other visas

2) Getting married

3) Changing maiden name to married name (optional)

4) Filing the AOS with your legal name (married name if point 3 applies)

Well I'm now in the triple digits of waiting... and I lurk these for forums all the time and thought it would be fun to pass the time if we shared a wedding photo to cheer each other up from this painful wait! 🥰 This is a countdown on my phone aha

How long do I need to wait for my interview date?

We were about 5.5 months from application to interview in San Diego last year (early April to late September), but we didn't have an RFIE.

You can see VJ averages for AOS times here: https://www.visajourney.com/timeline/aosstats.php (San Diego is a little under 6 months at this time).
