Just got my RFIE out of the mailbox. It is saying my birth certificate is insufficient just like I expected. What scares me is that my case still read “Fingerprints received”. And that’s what USCIS told me when I called them yesterday too. This means I won’t be able to follow my case online at all. It’ll just be a black box until I receive stuff in the mail. I’m currently waiting for my BC which is being sent from Sweden right now. Hoping it gets here fast so I can send it all in ASAP!

Hello,

It has been 44 days from the BIO appointment and I have't received any update yet. :(

My status online is: Case Was Updated To Show Fingerprints Were Taken.

I have a question: should I receive a letter through mail from USCIS with Interview update information or just a text (or email)?

This is my timeline:

Filing Date: November 16 2019

First NOA: November 22 2019

BIO appointment: December 17 2019

Field Office: Detroit

Edited by mark90

AOS Timeline:

Data Filed: 16 November 2019

First NOA: 22 November 2019

BIO Appt: 17 December 2019

Status updated to "Interview ready to be scheduled": 6 February 2020

Status updated to "Interview was scheduled": 7 February 2020

Second NOA: 13 February 2020

Interview appt: 18 March 2020 (cancelled)

Change of address: September 2020

New Interview appt: 18 November 2020

Do you have a USCIS account? Try adding the paper filed case number there and see if it shows a different status. When I was waiting for my I-129F approval it said case was received even when we got the RFE and when it was approved! Good luck.

Hi Erin! Thank you for your response and advice! Unfortunately myUSCIS is even worse, it just shows case received😓 I’ll have to call USCIS and see if there’s anything that can be done about it!

Ugh... it is painful how useless they are. Definitely try calling but don't get hopes up! 🙈

You guys, I'm starting to get really worried here. We still have not received any notice or anything about scheduling our biometrics appointment and we got our NOA on December 5th! Contacting USCIS is no help and they just tell me I need to send an E-request online which I've already done on January 3rd. They say all I can do is wait. I'm so happy to see other cases moving forward so fast! But it seems we're stuck and I know my local office has long waiting times but I had no idea we would still be waiting just to take fingerprints.

Hey guys!!! Somebody knows How long does it take to hear or know something back after they got the documents they requested for at the RFE? We got the Fedex confirmation the documents were delivered today

It took them 1 day from the day the documents were delivered.
