There wasn’t a very concrete reason. Like no life and death situation or an emergency like that.
Our reception is next month and we have already booked the venue, plus air tickets and everything has already been arranged if I didn’t get my visa before that it would result in a financial loss.
and then added a few details about how this distance has started affecting our relationship.

but i don't think our expedite request was granted, because NVC itself processed our case like a normal one.
we didn’t get any update on the expedite request though, apart from the one saying its being reviewed.

i would suggest call them as much as you can!

Just received this email today!

why do I still see Submit Button. when I have already submitted the documents? The status of all of my files says Submitted. Should I be worry?

I see the same button in CEAC four weeks after submitting all documents. Part of me really wants to click on it, but I fear getting pushed to the back of the queue...

I'm still in some administration processing.  Not sure what's going on.  But I hope it's alright just a formal check 🤞☘️

It's because you can submit additional documents at any time. Also, if you get an RFE, you'll need to be able to submit more documents.

I'm fed up with this all process

My husband says he'll just wish to cancel and finish this

I don’t blame him, poor man. Your guys case takes longer than most ones, and I am truly sympathetic to you. I am sure that  this AP after DQ is just a bureaucratic procedure caused by your request to change embassies. Why did you request it, by the way?

I just called the NVC and after 4 weeks,i was given the case number and the Invoice number. Just wanted to ask, can i go ahead and pay the fee for the DS-160 and start finding dates lets say 2 to 3 months ahead or wait till it get to Ghana embassy first.

And what piece of information would she need when she is going to pay for the DS-160 please

Any insight would be really helpful because i dont want the case to expire then we have to go through back and forth to have it brought back to Active status.

Don’t give up!! You guys are almost at the finish line. You have already waited this long, you’re almost there now. Soon it will be a thing of the past and you will look back on it and feel good knowing that you made it through despite all the trials and waiting. It’s very difficult and frustrating but we all believe in you!

Thanks.. Just really feel it.  But I know I'm not alone, so many others on here are having a hard time.  I feel for everyone on here also.

I pray and wish for it to be of the past.  But it's so gripping. When we'll finish.

Back in Nebraska filers, i was praying to get here.. Now I'm here so I'm grateful.. But now I'm afraid something may pop up and block us at the last moment. I guess faith is what we need.

Thank you friend for the kind words 🙏🏼

I'm uploading my documents to CEAC and it shows a required Police Clearance from a country I lived in 6 years ago for 9 months.

I'm applying to CR1, police clearance is supposed to be requested if you lived there for 12 or more months, anyone in the same situation?

😐

Hi all. So we sent my police clearance application by mail on tuesday 11/26 and it should arrive in Taiwan tomorrow 11/29. After that they have to mail my police clearance and then I'll upload to Ceac. God knows how long it'll take 😪

The good thing is I'm in the US with my husband for Thanksgiving. Happy holidays everyone!
