@stech786 I called yesterday. The lady was lovely and advised that everything was there, and that the status checker isn't always up to date, but that everything was in hand and I don't need to worry.

Process has been about 2 years and a half for me and my husband , I figured since US citizen is more than resident it would be shorter wait time for a US a citizen

Hey to be honest I'm not sure if you were petitioned by a citizen or a resident, you would think that being petitioned by a citizen would speed the process up but it doesn't. Maybe it would if the appointments were assigned right away. But the backlog doesn't help.

Just spoke with NVC about why the status checker is still showing documents needed and the agent said they have all my requested documents and are just waiting for them to be reviewed.  @RyanCassidy I called just to make sure they told me the same thing they told you lol. You never know what they will say if they really don't know what's going on.  I feel better that he confirmed all documents are there.

I’ve flown into both Lax and Houston... 9 trips total  (6 times since filing i130), stayed from 10 days - 35 days each trip... no issues so far (touch wood) stay cool, be honest, Keep answers short, sweet to the point, only answer what they ask..

personally, I just carry a printed copy of my return itinerary and approved leave application from work in case the ask for evidence of my intent to go home.. but it’s never been asked for... and I’ve always said visiting hubby etc..

I wouldn’t worry about letter from lawyer at additional cost, but up to you of course

cant see you having too many issues, Hawaii is a pretty common holiday destination for Aussies (a bit like Fiji) and we’re reasonably low risk by comparison to other countries..I don’t think you should worry.

have fun on holidays with other half and in-laws, don’t forget the floral shirt 🤗🤗🤗

Oh thank you! That makes me feel a whole lot better knowing someone from Aus has gone through it all, and especially LAX!

I feel like I can be a little more excited now haha.

Yes, I will pack all my colourful clothes!!!

Thanks again :)

On CEAC website, where would petitioner's marriage termination document go? Under AOS or civil documents?

We put ours under civil, additional document

I submitted my documents on October 21. Last night I got an update. When I logged in all my documents got accepted but the message said to upload an additional document. My husbands divorce decree. This is really frustrating as we already got an RFE for this at the USCIS stage. Where does the decree go? With the civil documents? Or up top with AOS? or does it not matter?

That's what we were thinking too. It was confusing at first since civil documents are supposed to be about the beneficiary or applicant

Looks like i already got my answer lol

Figured it’s nothing to do with finances, and kind of lives with marriage certificate.. so civil was the logical spot for me... guess I’ll find out if the reject it

On the NVC website they list the petitioner’s divorce decree on the civil documents part so that’s where it goes 🙂
