Yeah thats true. Im too lazy to catch up with the last 15 pages of this thread that were posted in the last two days (🤭!!!) so I don't know what was mentioned about Mexico but the wait time after being approved by NVC is around 12 months if petitioned by a USC. Around 2 or 3 months if petitioned by resident.

So wait time is longer for a US citizen than a resident ?

I just wanna cry!

I paid on the 7th money got withdrawn on the 8th

called Friday 15th and they said they will escalate it to the supervisor.

called again this afternoon and she said it would take 6 weeks to be reviewed from the supervisor.

that means 7 weeks waiting for my AOS fee to switch to paid.

7 weeks after payment?! ####### that cant be normal.

iv changed to paid 3 days after payment on the 10th

anyone knows how to handle this?

For interview yes. But overall process is around 2 years for both. One takes longer for petition to be approved, and the other for interview to be assigned.

DQ came about two hours ago! I'm so happy! My spouse had renewed her passport after we submitted the NVC documents, so we were uncertain if that would trigger a RFE. Even though the passport scan we sent was no longer valid (and expires in less than 6 months), everything got approved. Now we wait for the embassy ...

Congratulations

I was told the same thing when I escalated my case. It won't take 6 weeks! Mine changed to paid 1 day after they told me it was going to take 6 weeks.

Process has been about 2 years and a half for me and my husband , I figured since US citizen is more than resident it would be shorter wait time for a US a citizen
