Thank you! Honestly, we were emotionally prepared for a 6-week wait as well. It's baffling how/in what order they decide to process docs, and a part of me expects to get an email any minute now saying they made a mistake and turns out we need to submit xyz before we can move on.

Good luck! ❤️ Keep us updated. 😊

I submitted documents one day after you, and still haven’t heard anything.  You are very lucky.  I am preparing for 6 weeks of waiting.

Is there any way to pay the AOS and IV fees from abroad? We don't have a bank account in the US and the instructions mention the fees must be paid through a US bank. Did anyone face such an issue before? Also where I live there is no cashiers check available. Could i pay these fees with the help of a relative maybe who lives in the US (ex. using their credit card).

Thanks for the help!

Yes a relative in the US can help you pay, we had my husband’s mom help us make the payment cos my husband lives abroad with me but credit cards are not acceptable, the person has to put their bank account number and routing number.

This is from Sample of DS260 from US Department of State website. I believe your 5 month living in the USA counts as a place of residence, as does your living on campus at the universities.

Thank you very much for your kind advice. This has bn tricky and wasn't able to upload the form.

No, you're not living there you're just visiting.

For the 2nd question, it only asked me for the last five years. I believe training would be included in that. I'd just list it...I doubt there's any harm in saying you did training in other countries. They just want to see where you've been for non-leisure related activities to see if you've been in any countries that might raise a red flag. I don't believe the US is even on the list.

Thank you very much for taking your time and  offer advice.
