Can some one kindly guide us on this? I have stayed in the US for five months with B1 visa at my then fiancé and now husband place. Now, while filling at dthe DS-260 where it requests for the addresses where I lived since the age of 16, do I list that address as one of the places where I lived? I was there only visting and extended my short visits and ended up staying there for those five months. I was working in another country at the time. Also, do those short term training trips I took over the years to different countries say like summer courses etc even if at universities count and should be listed? Many thanks in advance.

No, you're not living there you're just visiting.

For the 2nd question, it only asked me for the last five years. I believe training would be included in that. I'd just list it...I doubt there's any harm in saying you did training in other countries. They just want to see where you've been for non-leisure related activities to see if you've been in any countries that might raise a red flag. I don't believe the US is even on the list.

Depence of your service centre. Usually after when service centre send your case 5-7 business days. I call and ask NVC when they receive my case number. But I was lucky because my case was at Potomac SC they usually send in 1 week to NVC

This is from Sample of DS260 from US Department of State website. I believe your 5 month living in the USA counts as a place of residence, as does your living on campus at the universities.

Our fees were withdrawn this morning also, but still shows "In Process". Im following your timeline since were both I. Brazil, in the same stage, and both qualify for a IR1 green card. Do you know if the NVC schedules our interview or do we schedule it on the AIS Visa website? I keep getting mixed reviews?

Hello VJ  family! I have a question when scanning documents that will  be acceptable for uploading to the NVC. I am aware that all borders have to be shown on the documents in order for them to be acceptable but my question is...what happens when the document is white and the background of the scanner is white? There is no defined border that is visible on the document, however, it is clear that no parts of the document are cut off. Is this acceptable? Do you have to see an actual line that borders the whole document? I'm sorry, I overthink too many things but I want to avoid any mistakes that will make this process take any longer than necessary!

Hello!!! I saw a person at VJ who will do the interview in Brazil saying he received a letter from the NVC with the appointment. And I contacted the doctor's office to ask questions and was also informed that I should send a copy of the letter from the NVC with the appointment of the interview to the doctor. So I believe that in Brazil the scheduling is through letter.
