Does NVC ask for evidence of citizenship for beneficiaries when filing civil documents?

Ive got dual nationality via default to three countries but only have evidence for Australia, (born, live etc) the rest has either expired eg passport for uk, or was never requested or provided in formal format

I have three as well. I was asked for the passport number of the passports for Canada (where I live) and Australia (because I hold a valid passport), but was not asked for my UK passport number because it is expired. The only scan I had to upload was the bio data page from my Canadian passport.

I am not a lawyer and nothing I say is or should be taken as legal advice.

Anyone else who used a joint sponsor here? I added our joint sponsor last night but it still isn’t letting me upload the additional docs for him, only the initially required birth cert and I864, even though it said it would take only up to an hour to go through. It only shows N/A so we can’t upload the W2s and tax return yet, and doesn’t show him to be able to add his household member either. So now we’re just kind of stuck! How long did it take for you guys to be able to upload docs for the joint sponsor?

That’s probably because you added it on the weekend. We did the same thing and the joint sponsor’s document uploading section got updated Monday morning in the USA, when their workday begins. Even though it said it’ll be active in an hour.

Is anybody else here waiting for DQ since documents being submitted after the system shutdown?  I’m still waiting since Oct 22😩

I submitted on Oct 22 also, I wouldn't be surprised if it takes several more weeks to get a response. The lucky people who get approved in less than a week are the exception, not the usual.

Status will change to PAID sometime this week I’m sure. For me it took a little bit of time for it to show up even though the money had been withdrawn already. I paid for it the second I got the email and everything ended up fine, don’t worry!

Also to anyone who is waiting for their status to change to PAID, remember that weekends don’t count towards processing times!

I believe it’s more accurate to count 2-3 days after the money is withdrawn and not 2-3 days from when you submitted payment.

So I guess today doesn't count either since it is a holiday 😕

Yes, was very fast. But now I need wait very long time, and was no very big issue, they reject because was only stamp with police department name, and they want name of police department on up part of police certificate.
