Hello VJ Family, our i130 got approved on the 23rd of October and we got A letter from NVC today 26th of November.

So my questions are:

1. In the letter this was written there ( If you are logging into CEAC for the first time, please be aware that it can take up to three days (72 hours) from receipt of this notice for your account to be activated. Once activated, you can log into CEAC using the following unique NVC case number and Invoice Identification Number.)

Does this mean we can't do anything yet till after 72hours.

2. I signed in and saw the 3 steps, which started with pay fees. I saw the choose agent option but i couldn't click on it, why is this? That's what we are supposed to do first right? Someone please put me through.

3. How do we pay the fees?.

I will be glad if anyone drops any helpful tips or comments. Thank you. And Good luck to us on our Journey.

xoxo ❤

If you were able to log in already, then you don't need to worry about the "72 hours" thing, that's just to let you know that it could take up to 72 hours to be able to log in, but since you already did, don't worry about it. DS261 "choose an agent" isn't really used anymore, I haven't heard of anyone recently who has had to use it, I'm pretty sure it's locked for everyone now since it's obsolete basically. Don't worry about that either. You pay the fees by going to the fees and choosing which fees you wish to pay and then going through the steps to pay them. You will need to provide bank info from a US bank in order to pay them. Then, it will take 2-3 business days (so weekends and holidays aren't counted) for the payment to be taken out of your bank, and then another day or two for CEAC to show "PAID" to let you fill out DS260 and upload documents

It should already be active, try logging in. Mine said the same thing, but I was able to login right away.

Once you login, there is a link through which you pay IV Fee & AOS Fees (separately) using a US Bank account.

Hope that helps.

Yes, thank you. So we just click on the pay now button right? And we pay using a US Bank Account.

And how do one know when NVC received a case?

Usually to find out when they received your case, you would call after USCIS send it to NVC and before getting a case number. We didn't call to find out when they received, we just waited for case number, but I think they typically receive the case around 1 week after USCIS sends it

I guess everyone’s case is different and there is no real patternI guess everyone’s case is different and there is no real pattern.😕

I was just off the phone with NVC.  They said My case is in the queue waiting for review.  She didn’t give me any time frame, and referred me back to the information in the website.  I don’t know if it means anything.
