Hi all

 

What is the shortest interval between when you receive the interview letter (IL) and the actual day of interview? I think recently it has been 2-3 weeks but is it normally a month apart?

Possible. Since they are just getting to end of September DQ's for December dates. And December and January doesn't have alot of slots for immigration interviews since it's travel season and vacation time for many CO's so staff is less also.
Nigeria especially usually picks up middle of January.

Submit docs: Oct 10th for AOS docs only, then CEAC website went down plus had issues getting police certificate. Oct 21st civil docs submitted 

DQ Oct 25th (4 days later)

IL Nov 13th

Interview Dec 4th

Also, is the POE and Greencard fee the same? For some reason I thought the POE fee was $165 and the Greencard fee was $220....

The 3 months applies to submission. You do not need a new Police certificate for interview. You are fine.

 

There's no such thing as a POE fee. It's a $220 Immigration fee you pay to create the greencard. You can pay online before you leave Nigeria or after you arrive in US.

Your police certificate is good for 1 year. the 3 months is the expiry date for submission. As long as NVC received it before the 3 months and of course they did. you are fine.

 

They stopped having to get a new one over 4 years ago. You are fine.

There was no $165 at NVC. What fee are you referring to. Also no need to get another police report because the embassy will have what was submitted. Since it was submitted before expiring a Police certificate is good for 1 year. They want the original of what you submitted.

There's no $220 you pat at any Immigration interview. There's no fees. The $220 is the Immigration fee you pay after you receive your Visa and you can go online and pay before you leave the country or when you arrive.

Your friend lied. I know for a fact Lagos does not even take money for nothing. That's funny there's no Immigration fee paid for anything at the embassy. You have to pay online and it's after you receive your Visa.

Dear this letter is like 4 years old. Darnell is a friend and hasn't been around for 3 years. The fee use to be $165. It's now $220.
Always always go to USCIS.GOV to get up to date  information on fees.

The time is dependent on the embassy. Jamaica ain't that expeditious so it may be days to weeks before they notify you.
Has your package left NVC. Have you been tracking when it arrived at embassy and emailed the embassy.
