Oh wow. Does my husband have to bring my paystubs and offer letter to the interview?  I thought it just mentioned transcripts AOS and his original civil docs with ds260, etc.  I just left Turkey and organized his folder for the interview but I didn’t include any paystubs or offer letter

I included all of this for my AOS package if you didn’t you don’t need to have it.  I was concerned about having certified copies for any of those AOS documents you know?

Approved today at interview!!

The hardest part of the process were the hours leading up to it, I was so nervous, couldn't eat or sleep well. My interview wasn't even ten minutes, after all that worrying!

Can't wait to see the golden "Issued" status, but I'll be patient since for some people it seems to take a couple of weeks. Good luck to everyone interviewing soon, the end is near 🎉🎉

Awesome Congratulations.

I included paystubs and an offer letter from a part time job in my AOS so maybe I will email it to him for his interview. But to answer your questions No. the only thing that needs to be original is the beneficiary civil documents like marriage certificate, birth certificate, divorce decree if any, police certificate.... don’t forget the to print out the ds260 form.

we just had our interview this morning.

they asked my wife where she works, how we met, and why we got married in copenhagen.

they asked me where i live, how i met my wife, if i work, when we will travel to america, and where we will live in america when we get there.

we offered to show additional evidence that we had compiled but they only asked to see some pictures of us together.

they kept her passport and said that everything looks good with our case but that they still haven’t received her medical report yet from the clinic so they can’t fully approve it yet. she had her medical exam over a month ago and we were told that the results would be emailed to the embassy on our behalf. i don’t understand how it can take over a month to email a document... i’m wondering if i should call the clinic and ask them about it...

Yes follow yup with medical. probably sitting on someones desk there.

I have a question in reference to documents for the interview.  I am not sure if this question was asked, but being that we are required to bring originals and copies to the interview I have a question in reference to which documents should be originals.  All of my AOS documents are Pay Stubs, Offer Letter from Work, Tax Transcripts and such.  Most are available online for me to print, but not "original" per se.  I was wondering, should I go get certified true copies for all of these documents or just print two copies and bring to the embassy?

As for my Civil documents, I have all originals should I have the copies certified as true copies for the embassy?

Documents they are referring to are the documents that were required from the beneficiary. the BC, Police report, marriage certificate and divorce decree if it applies.

Does anyone know if there have been IL from Lagos for December? Could they be too busy? Just thinking aloud

Nigeria is booked and closed for December. Hopefully they at least got through September DQ's.

Exactly.

The consulate requires you to come with the documents you uploaded on CEAC.

Just make copies of it and you'll be fine.

All the best!

Thanks :)

Actually, I called US Embassy about that question and got the answer mail yesterday.

The answer mail says "You don't need to bring I-864 if it wasn't changed after submitting to NVC".

But I was relieved to read your answer till I got the mail.

Thanks a lot!

My husband brought a new I-864 because we had some major changes since we submitted it. I had moved back to the US and gotten a new job. We emailed our embassy ahead of the interview and they said my husband could bring a scanned copy of the updated one.

Thank you for a reply :)
