My husband had his interview on the 22nd of October. At the interview they told him everything was fine but a small issue that we didn’t have the original marriage and birth certificate. However, they kept his passport and gave him the 221g form to submit those papers on ceac again and in the original forms. He submitted those on the 24th of October and emailed them. It’s been two weeks and the case was last updated on the 30th of October and is still in administrative processing. Anyone have any idea as to how long it may take for them to issue the visa?

Is there anyone who is having an interview at Ghana embassy soon?

I haven’t seen/read anything here. I wonder the same, if there were any interviews scheduled for November. I think so but I’ve noticed a lot of people don’t update their timeline here so that throws off the data.

anyways, we’re hoping to see ACC embassy start scheduling for DEC interviews soon within the next week or two. 🤞🏾

DQ Oct 2nd. 5 weeks and counting.

good-luck to everyone waiting ....

I think you can if you pay extra for "expedited" service at the Alagbon office. Where are you located in Nigeria?

Thanks for the add @dwheels76.

Recently we have been in contact with NVC, the Consulate, and our Senator. Between all three groups we seem to be getting the runaround on who takes the next action and why we still appear to be in another queue. I realize that there aren't a lot of members on the sheet or updating their Timelines for China IR1 immigration, so data is scarce. We are documentarily qualified and everything has paused.

Guangzhou consulate has a portal (CGIFederal) which they use to gather information to return passports and pay fees via AliPay etc. On this portal they publish the next available interview date (11/25 as of yesterday).

NVC states that they are waiting for available interview slots from the Consulate so that they can schedule, whereas Guangzhou has stated they are waiting for NVC to provide them the case and arrange the interview dates.

So, as of right now we are in limbo awaiting the case status to change from "At NVC" to the next status like "Completed."

Do you know their requirements?

Just go with your passport data page and passport photograph, you'll get your clearance the same day...And then you'll have to be a good negotiator concerning the price, nothing less than 5k or more...

I know its varies by case but how long is it usually from this forum that people get their case number and paid the fee to the date that nvc completed? DQ i mean. Thanks

This definitely varies.  I have not seen a consistent number but what I have calculated is roughly 45-48 days from the date that you submitted your documents before your package is up for review.  If this makes sense at all to you.  What I do is go to the NVC website and look under Step 6 every week.  As of this past Monday they were working on packages that were submitted on Sept 19th.  So I may not hear anything from them at a minimum of 2 weeks.

Your timeline shows that your case was completed on 10/28/2019. It still too early! The process of getting an interview date can take several weeks and sometimes a few months, depending on the consulate's availability.  So be patient and everything will be fine. We're all waiting for some good news (interview letter "IL") soon...GW!
