IlWe just had our AOS interview today at STL. The IO and I were discussing the 751 and she explained that the office was behind on ROC approvals. She said most people were going through having multiple extensions before being approved.

Finally done...

Your location wont effect anything other then the service center you get.
St. Louis won’t even be involved unless your case get transferred there from your service center at some point or you get a N-400 in the process as well.

What were the questions asked in the interview ?

There are not too many people here on VJ filing AOS with CIS office in STL, so if you fill out your timeline; you would help others as well! :)

While that is true, the IO's statement is misrepresenting the reality (which is probably why USCIS takes misrepresentation as serious as it is).

This is like...

why nursing home care residents have higher rates of healthcare coverage than those who are not in nursing home?

The answer is that knowing that you are in nursing home, you want to have higher coverage as much as possible.

Likewise, yes if the cases are transferred to local USCIS office, with higher chance, it means that there are some issues to prove and get approved for I 751. So that means that multiple extension until final approval is often necessary since USCIS is not willing to approve the cases.

Is it that people are going through multiple extensions? Yes

Is it that majority of I 751 applicants need multiple extensions? Not necessarily.
