Did you get infopass?  Where is your local office?

I did not as I got my green card renewed for 10 years. Local office would be Newark and due to case spike here, probably not wise to go into the office. The agents told me normal processing time is 14-17 months. I just see many users here getting their interview dates and wondering if I might be the only one and my application is lost somewhere.

My husband, different FO, submitted a couple days before you and only just got interview update, and I know some FOs are slower. It’s all a big waiting game unfortunately that Covid has made even worse.

FYI uscis processing times site does give processing time for Newark of 14.5-17 months, receipt date for a case enquiry is 5 July 2019, months before when you filed, so it does seem you are still well within their normal times.

If its not important,  you can wait for sure 😃I was excited to get it done within 9months. I called in customer service too .When you go to Local office big crowd are not allowed inside the waiting room.Wearing mask and social distancing works. I feel completely safe at local USCIS office .  I would do a shoot in your case. We cannot be afraid this much of the virus which will be with us for years. Good luck. 🍀

I AM A US CITIZEN!!!!! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

My experience was amazing! Very friendly and professional officer 👮🏻‍♂️

I got same day oath ceremony!  Decided not to change my name because I would have had to wait 3 weeks and I didn’t wanna wait. I’ll change my name in the near future in court.

Interview was easy, combo interview I-751/N400. Plexiglass was in between me and the officer. Was put under oath then I was asked basic info and my I-751 was approved. Then we went on to the N-400 and was asked

“Who is your US Senator?”

”Who makes Federal Laws?”

”Who wrote the Declaration Of Independence?”

”How many US Senator?”

”What ocean is on the west coast of the US?”

”Name one war that happened in the 1800?”

I got all correct and we moved on to the reading and writing and I used a IPad to read and write.

Reading was

”What do we pay to the US Government?”

Writing was

“We pay taxes.”

we went through the yes and no questions like

”Have you ever claimed to be a US Citizen?”

”Have you voted or registered in a election?”

”Have you ever worked Illegally?”
“Have you ever claimed to be a US Citizen in writing Or any other way (like on a I-9 form or government forms?)”

“Have you ever not filed taxes?”

”Have you ever killed someone?”

After going through the yes and no question

we went through the rest of the application and that was it I signed a paper to show all my info was correct and then he approved me. He congratulated me and escorted me to a room where the oath ceremony would be taking place.
I waited about 1 hour for the oath ceremony that was being done in the USCIS Office. Social distanced and mask wore at all times. There were 6 other people who were there waiting to be naturalized. We then did the oath of allegiance and that was it! I became a US Citizen. They gave me my certificate and made sure everything was correct on it and that’s it!

Now time to apply for US Passport and update SSN and apply for a new Driver license. Lol

I’m so excited!!!! Good luck everyone with your journey to US Citizenship! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Congratulations. Quick questions, because you had a combo interview, was your spouse present with you at the interview?

I am a November 2019 filer. I had my Naturalization Interview today 12/08 at USCIS Philadelphia Office. The interviewer was very nice. He asked me 6 questions, I answered all correctly. The last three questions were:

If the president can no longer serve....

Who is the current Chief Justice?

What are the two main political parties.

Then, he asked me to read "Which state has the most people" on the iPad and asked me to write "California has the most people".

After this he asked me questions about my address, employment to confirm all the information that I had on the form. Then he asked about my travel history and mentioned that he is seeing different information to what I have written on the N400 form. I confirmed with him all the places that I have been to and all that was on the form is correct. The officer was very nice and he told me not to worry as he also thinks that somehow the information that he is seeing isn't correct in his system.

Then the officer asked me a few yes/no questions and approved my application. Philadelphia isn't doing same day Oath Ceremony and he told me all the people who we are approving today will probably have their Oath Ceremony on December 22nd. My online status is now showing that "Oath Ceremony is schedule and we sent you the letter". I will check again tomorrow for the letter in the online account.

Good Luck to everyone!

FO Sfo too. I filed my N400 last November 20, 2019. I’m still patiently waiting until now. 🤗

My daughter is also SF Nov 2019 and still waiting. My husband filed in October 2019 and got notified last week that he is scheduled for interview (in early January) so hopefully it won’t be too much longer to wait for the November filers!
