I had my interview at Memphis yesterday and got approved :) Went pretty smooth.

My interview was at 7:15AM. We reached USCIS at around 6:50. However, the office didn't open until 7AM so waited 10mins or so before we got let in. The officer didnt call me until 8AM. Was just asked to show Green Card and no other document was asked. She started with the civics and history test. Below are the questions asked.

1. What does the judicial branch do?

2. What are the 2 major political parties in US?

3. What is the political party of the President now?

4. What is one thing Benjamin Franklin is famous for?

5. Who lived in America before the Europeans arrived?

6. If the President can no longer serve, who becomes President?

For reading and written test, I was asked to read, How many U.S. Senators are there? For writing, I was asked to write, We have 100 senators.

She verified my name change request and said it wont delay the process so I went ahead with it and said I would like my name changed. She verified my phone number and Address. Asked if my husband and I lived separately during the entire period and then asked the Yes/No questions from the application. That was it.

She said the Oath Ceremony will be in Nashville and that I should get a mail in 4-5 weeks.

Also, my Estimated case completion time changed to May 2020

Nothing.

The IO had told me to wait 90 days for the oath. I am still hoping that was just a maximum just to be on the safe side!

My account still says, wait time 3 months, completion 2 months 🙄 (which would mean, oath letter in May, ceremony in April, lol)

Well, now wait time is still 3 months, but completion changed from April to June (4 months)!!

They're playing with my feelings! 😑

I urge you not to gauge accuracy in processing times based on what you see online. It's sometimes accurate and not for the most part. I know it's hard not to worry, but fight the urge not to :) Try to check your online account once a week or only when you get a notification to do so! Hang in there :)

Thanks @Poulette! It went well and did not take that long as I imagined it to be. We had a small group (75 people) so it was pretty fast. I took the opportunity to also register to vote and also applied for my passport and passport card 😃. Only thing left to do is to wait for 10 days to go to SSN to update my records and then I think I am done. Wondering if I also need to update/change my Driver's and ID since I do not have a name change 🤔.

Wishing you and the others a swift and smooth sailing transition soon!
