Congrats!!! What kind of questions did they ask? What documents did you take with you?

1. The first question was what do promise to do when you become a citizen?

2. How many justices are there?
3. Name 2 rights or freedom in the first amendment. 

 

I am sure there were more questions. I can’t seem to remember it. He was going so fast but I know I didn’t get any of it wrong. He laughed and asked me if I was sure I didn’t study. (I told him I was nervous when we were walking to the interview room). 
 

Next he told me to read ‘who can vote?’ And then told me the answer and asked me to write it on a tablet with my fingers. 
 

He then asked a bunch of questions really quickly (if you killed anybody, ever been to prison, same question in the form). Then he printed out a congratulations letter 😁

 

I brought with me the interview letter, my gc, passport, driver’s license and the original copy of all documents that I provided during form submission. He only looked at my gc, driver’s license and passport and did not bother looking at the other original supporting documents. 

 

I applied on the basis of 3 year marriage. It would have been 5 years if I waited to apply in October. 

 

The interviewer was very nice and friendly and he somehow had a switch and became Very serious and had a piercing eye while doing the interview - most likely doing his job

My estimated completion changed from September to May 2020. I am grateful that it's been a fast process so far for me, but I sure hope I don't have to wait 4 months for the oath! Lol

@Poulette So now I am wondering, somehow, I think they changed the website, maybe? I was able to see the estimated completion date and also the list of documents that i sent and received to/from them. This is now not possible? Am I the only one that can't see the these things anymore in the USCIS website?

@estrella19  Atlanta filer here. Biometrics was in Dec (See all details in my signature).  I just had my interview yesterday and was approved

Hmm, I promised this morning I was going to stop checking the USCIS website for a while because of my obsession (still no oath scheduled), but I just peeked to check what you asked, haha. No, I still see the documents and estimated time. 

I was having issues logging in yesterday, maybe it's a glitch?

I was gonna say maybe because you are already scheduled for oath? But I would think the estimated time should still be showing.

Hmmmm I saw the same thing yesterday. I even switched between chrome, safari and my phone to make sure its not a browser thing. Are you using this link by any chance to check ? https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do

 

 and LOL I dont blame you for checking every second/day/hour LOL

To those who attended the interview, did you all just take only the original documents of the copies you submitted online? Did you take any other documents? What about photo albums? 

 

Also, did any of you change your name? I did mention in my application that I would like to change to my married name. Will that delay the process?

@ak_2018I brought my original documents of the copies submitted online but the interviewer did not want to look at them at all. All he wanted was my GC, Interview letter, DL and passport.

 

I did not change my name as I applied it with the basis of my name when I got married (Husband's last name).

 

I was told that name change will make the oath ceremony date scheduled at a later date vs no name change at all.
