My estimated completion changed from September to May 2020. I am grateful that it's been a fast process so far for me, but I sure hope I don't have to wait 4 months for the oath! Lol

Hey guys,

has anyone filed with the Washington DC/ Fairfax office? Would you mind adding yourself to the Washington DC list if you haven't done it yet?

I very much appreciate your help!

Good luck everyone!!!

Thankyou All!  @Amadia and @Giovanna024 and Congratulations @Poulette !!!!

My apology for commenting late. I had a job interview an hour after my interview and both went well :)

Well here is the run down of my experience:

My appointment was 1.15 pm. checked in to the information desk an hour early.

I got Called in at 1.25pm ,officer apologizes for the delay for the previous applicant had an interpreter and more time were needed. No issues. Smiled the whole time.

Sworn first (raising right hand and only tell the truth)  before sitting .Went to reading and written exam right away about Independence Day (Passed it) then was asked the below questions and passed it:

  1. How many amendments does the Constitution have?
  2. How many senators we have?
  3. When do we vote the President?
  4. Why do some states have more representative that other states?
  5. what movement tried to end racial descrimination?
  6. Name the US was between the north and the south?

Went through my N400 quickly and said you passed! The officer said most probably my oath taking date would be March and they will mail me a letter with instructions .

The interview was very quick!!! I was very nervous waiting but as soon as I got called and sat down it went away. The officer also addressed the fact that I have a bag full of the documents I submitted online and he said he don’t want to see it as they still have my previous application (I-90) documents on hand . It was funny how he say it because the supporting documents I provided was enormous. He tapped it and said don’t worry I do not doubt your marriage.  I just smiled and said incase you need to see it . I have it ready.

It was a pleasant experience and could not be happier about the outcome. :)

Again VisaJourney helped me alot throughout the process and I want to thank you everyone who is in this thread! who initiated this thread and answers questions, provide insights and cheering up everyone. Thank you again and hang in there!

I cant wait to read everyones experiences too! :) :) :)

Slightly off-topic: I was just reading about some oath ceremonies taking place at National Parks... Wouldn't that be awesome?! I am not sure this is an option in Middle Tennessee, though.

If you could choose, where would you like to have your ceremony held? I guess I would pick the Niagara Falls or the Grand Canyon.

I would check the forums like the months before and see if anyone has Atlanta. We're los Angeles and looking back at one case that was interviewed in December but filed in March, gave us a better estimate.

Just an Update, I received a notification last night that my case was updated. Upon checking this morning it was confirmed that they Scheduled me for oath taking however as usual it's not available yet under documents tab. Will wait if what comes first the letter on the mail or its availability under documents tab.

Awesome!! I'm sure you'll get it online first. Oh, I would be obsessively checking. 😄

Just like I'm obsessively checking now for any update, lol (although I think my oath will take longer to be scheduled because my case was transferred)
