Passport kept after interview case is AP

By F&S2018 in Waivers (I-601 and I-212) and Administrative Processes (221g)

Hi my husband had his visa interview in April of this year, the embassy kept his passport and our case is in administrative processing after receiving ds5535. It has been 6 months since interview we’ve sent inquiries to the embassy only to be told were in administrative processing well NO ! anyways just fast forwarding a bit my husbands visa will be expiring in April 2020 so what happens in that case? I know we have about 5 months but just say he doenst get the visa even by then what happens?

My Interviewed had February 2019. Embassy kept my passport and marriage certificates. In my case still not get Ds 5535 and Case status show Ready yet. Even I send so many inquires but replied case in Administration process. Other Congress office from also get helped same replied your case in Administration process. Total until now 11 updates. May ALLAH all of them who waiting for visa approve soon. Ameen
