Thank you! I did take a peek at this but I noticed date at the bottom was 2016 which is why I had my doubts! But it looks like it hasn’t changed since then. Just gotta wait to get my “ready”!

I received my first ready on Jan 8th (Consulate received on Dec 27th) and the second on Jan 13th. I sent in my P3 on the 13th based on the checklist I sent you and still haven't received either an official P3 or P4 from them! I don't know about you but I feel like this step has been the absolute hardest to wait for. 

As for the checklist, it's the only one I've seen floating around so it must still be current!

100% the hardest! We are SO close yet still so far away!!!! How did you know when the consulate received your file? Was it on ceac? I hope you get your P4 soon and you are able to set an interview date. Time will for sure fly by! Keep us posted

I tracked my visa using the DHL hack that @Greenbaum posted in the NVC thread. I was able to see that my visa was signed by someone on Dec 27th. CEAC had it showing "In-Transit" until Jan 8th.

Question to anyone that is a step ahead of me…

 

The consulate received our visa Dec 27. We received out first “ready” Jan 8^th, a few hours after I had emailed the consulate to check on the status of the visas since it was still showing “in transit” on the CEAC website. On Jan 13^th, I received an reply to my email:

“As soon as the Visa Unit receives and reviews your case, we will contact you with instructions for the next steps in processing your case.”.

The “date last updated” on CEAC had also changed to Jan 13^th which I mistook for the second ready so I sent in my P3 on Jan 20^th.

 

Yesterday, I received a response from the consulate in regards to my P3 email stating:

“Your case is currently being reviewed by the Visa Unit. As soon as the review is complete, the Visa Unit will advise of the next steps and what documents need to be provided in order to continue processing the case.”

Again my “date last updated” on CEAC website changed to Jan 22^nd (that’s when I realized that I hadn’t actually received a 2^nd ready the first time, the date changes every time they reach out)

 

My question is, is it normal to have to wait this long for a second ready when I received the first on Jan 8^th? I’m starting to get a little worried since people whose visa were received after mine already have their interviews booked.

Well, I'm just as green to this process, but my NVC recieved date was Oct 29th and I'm still waiting on packet 3. Looking at your timeline compared to mine, you might have a while, but then again, someone with an NVC date if 11 days before mine had their interview early Dec. I don't get it. Maybe just a product of being after the consulate moved and then the winter holidays.

 

What is this "second ready" you are talking about? I've not heard of this.

I have a question about police certs. I got the one with finger prints, but them came across a forum on here stating it needs to be specific to the privacy act, not just Visa. The RCMP didn't even ask me; I just explained it was for a Visa and she took my prints, etc. Now it says "Application Type: Visa-Border Crossign-Foreign Travel-Work." 

 

Is that wrong? Should I go back and get another one?

This stage is definitely the hardest. The wait for NOA2 was no where near as tough and now I just want it over with. Our case arrived at the Embassy on Friday (Jan 25th) so I expect to accomplish very little at work this week other than constant refreshing of the CEAC site for updates. 🤦‍♂️
