I had my medical today and it was a breeze! Although I live only an hour from Toronto, I decided to pay the extra money to have the results couriered to me so I wouldn’t have to take more time off work to pick them up.

I'm now heading to the USA to visit my fiancé for the weekend and do a little celebrating!!!!

Is there another status between the first and second ready? How do you know you have the second ready? Can you tell by looking at the case last updated date below? I received my first ready today or at least I think it was my first ready.

Not to my knowledge. The difference between the first and second ready of only the "last updated" date change. The first time you see ready, well that's your first. Once that date changes to a more current date, that's your second ready.

Getting immunizations back today! Only took 1 day to process from start to pick-up :)

Fingerprints were really annoying though. Went to the local police station yesterday and they said they didn't do fingerprints or have any past records and to go to another city an hour away, then went to the other city only to get turned away saying to apply for it online! 2 hours of my life I'll never get back. Got an email saying someone else in the city could get it done today, hopefully it's a bit smoother from here. Planning on turning in P3 tonight.

@Patience4

That's great news!!! Moving forward really is the best feeling ever!

As for the police record, how are you to do fingerprinting online??? It doesn't sound like you are going to end up with the record you need that way. All I'm saying is double check and ask questions before you pay for anything and waste valuable time.

Search "rcmp criminal record check privacy act" in google and it will list companies in your area that you can order them from. I got mine from Commissionaires. I hope that helps.

That’s what I thought but wanted to confirm I wasn’t missing anything. Thank you Forrest.

So we filled out the DS-160 but we were expecting to get charged for it, about 250$ or so. After filling it out completely we received the receipt without paying anything and emailed it along with the P3 package things, I know we have to be missing something here. Anyone know if/where to make a payment for this?

Also expecting P4 soon! Hype!

You have to pay when you are booking your interview appointment. You will do the payment first and then select your interview time. :)

Get your criminal record check soon! It requires 2 weeks, also look into your immunization records and anyones you might need updates on. You need this for the medical? Which province are you in? I'm in AB and had to call AB health to get my records and I went in to get updated on my immunizations, which was free with AB health care.

Also, you letter of intent needs to be recent so 30 days old, bring a new on to your interview! This is very important, along with affidavit of support and your fiances financial documents.

Your birth certificate should also be the long form or atleast have your parents names on it. I had to get mine updated because mine did not have my parents names on it, even though the USCIS accepted it, I heard the won't at the interview.

The other stuff I put N/A when I filled out my checklist.

Good luck! When did the NVC receive your documents just curious?

Hi aml!

Update, got P4! Can finally schedule appointment, looks like 26th Feb is still open.

Did the police reports, looks like it can take anywhere for 2 weeks to 120 days (depending if they have prints in the system). Also I finally got in the request in for the new long birth certificate with parents names. I was curious, how long did it take for them to mail you your new certificate?

Interview schedule for Feb 26th! I have to do my medical in Montreal when I get there as there is no where near me to do it.

The email I got after confirming my interview is the first I've seen of needing previous passports. I have noooo idea where these are or if I even got them back. To anyone who's interviewed already--do they ask for these?

Thanks for any and all help!

Hi Everyone!

It's been really quiet in here the last few days. I just thought I'd check in and see what everyone's been up to!

I sent in my P3 over the weekend and resent today but have only gotten automated responses since then! CEAC even updated my case for feb 4 but I still haven’t received a specific response. Crossing my fingers and hoping to hear from the embassy soon..

Planning what to do in Montreal for a week! Finally booked everything.

The P4 list sort of confused me: we don't need our expired passports, petitioners birth certificate or I-864 for our interview, do we?

Congrats! I've planned my trip too but I'm only going to be in the city or less than 24 hours. I wish I had more time but I can't take the extra time off work.

I saw your post about old passports and had a little freak out myself! LOL I don't think thats what they're asking for though. I think they want old passport from other countries you may have lived.

I am bringing a copy of my fiance's passport bio page and I think I also have a copy of his birth certificate just in case they ask.

As for the I-864, I don't think that pertains to us but I'm going to look into it more over the weekend when I start putting my P4 info together.
