Is there an official format to use when writing out phone numbers when requested in the I-129F form?

Basically, (123) 456 - 7890 or 1234567890?

I would say the former but nobody will call

YMMV

Since the passport-type photos that are required in the I-129F packet need to be taken within 30 days of filing do we need to have the date stamped or written on the back of the photos or do we just need our full names printed clearly?

Just the names.

USCIS I-129F Instructions:

"Using a pencil or felt pen, lightly print your name and A-Number (if any) on the back of the photo."
