I thought I had seen a lot, and then I saw Sexy Mister Rogers and Sexy Bob Ross.

What's everyone dressing up as tomorrow, if you're dressing up at all?

I am putting this in this subforum because Halloween is definitely a current event. :P

Uh, yeah! The Yandy costumes are always hilarious. They also have Sexy Chicken Sandwich and Sexy Impossible Burger costumes this year. One year it was Sexy Pizza Rat. I admit that I once -- once! -- bought one of these sexy costumes to wear at home for my husband. It wasn't one of the "topical" ones though. He seemed to like it at the time but I felt like I had to burn it after I wore it.

My costume is sexy ill housewife in comfy pjs under a blanket.

I never celebrated Halloween. It's rather a mysterious thing to me. Besides, we're due for big-un' storm or something, doubt the children will be trucked in this year at all.

Oh no, get well soon!

Halloween for adults is kind of weird. I'm well past the "go out and party" phase of my life for Halloween, but I know people will take any excuse to get out there and go for it. We're not going out at all and I'm making pumpkin soup and a big salad. I am doing "festively appropriate" workwear tomorrow -- I'm going as a dead and vengeful bride. I got an old wedding dress from Goodwill and have dirtied it up a little, and will be doing a deathly pale makeup with dark circles under my eyes and dark purple lips. I wouldn't normally do this but the other two people at work twisted my arm. They'd better show up in costume too or heads will roll!

A bit tactless given your recent engagement, yes? On the other hand, it's only a bracelet engagement, so you're probably safe with the matrimony police.

"Bracelet engagement"? So when I get my ring, will I be really for real engaged enough for you, Boris?

It's not tactless. Who's to say it's not me rising from the grave of my first marriage to seek my revenge? :D

Halloween is generally tactless and tacky in the wardrobe department. Can she not wear whatever she pleases?

Thanks. Don't think that's going to happen soon though. Tests and such.. hoping they don't want a biopsy. Not a fan of needles.

Of course not. An engagement comes but once. You had yours. It was a bracelet. Whatever ring comes after that is just a gift of jewelry.

If I were your fiancee, I would be very concerned that you appear to be holding on to your previous marriage. I do hope he doesn't turn his temper on you.

There's nothing at all wrong with an engagement bracelet. I like it because it is different, breaks with the traditional norms.

Besides, in a pinch, it can easily be converted into a stylish nose ring after the marriage vows are uddered.

Thank you, yuna. Sending healing thoughts to you from out here in California.

My eyes have rolled so far back in my head that they flipped back around again. I'm so glad you're around to tell me the etiquette around engagement and what is acceptable engagement jewelry.

Alex would probably agree with you that I have too much emotionally invested with Jules. It is hard to let go sometimes, and I do think of the good that was once there between us. I don't talk about that with Al though, not just because he doesn't want to hear about it, it would probably be disrespectful. I'm not worried about his temper, but thanks.
