So my fiancé only visited me once and now he's planning another trip to be with me for interview. I'm scared that we would get denied for visa for only 2 visits

It depends on the embassy/country whether one visit will hurt you. I suggest you go to your country specific forum and ask there.

It's all in the hands of the Embassy whether they except one or more visits. Yes the instructions say on within two years of submitting the application but they have the gold so they get to make whatever rule they like. You should see if you can find others that are from your embassy and ask their opinion.

Try this. At the top of this page is a blue ribbon with a number of tabs; select "portals" and on the landing page if your country doesn't appear then search for your country. Select it from the list. Now look in the upper middle of the page for "Quick Links". Look down to the last entry which should say "your country's name + Visa Timelines". Now an excel looking spreadsheet will populate for others who are currently applying for a visa from your country. Follow across the top line of the spreadsheet to become familiar with the information and then where your interest lies you'll be able to analysis the information. This should give you a good idea where you stand with other members of your country and their journey. This should be a better understand of who is getting and who is approved and when.

And another place to look is in your sub-forum for your country. Go up to the blue ribbon at the top of the page, select "Forums" and then scroll down 3/4ths of the page and select the link for your country/region.

Thank you! I've been trying to do that. It's difficult since I'm from Montenegro but my country doesn't do k1 so we have to do everything in Serbia. I've talked to few people from Serbia with interview experience but all of them had 4+ visits. And didn't know what advice to give. So I'm really really scared to get denied just because of that.

If it not viable then you must go with what you can. You may not have a problem.

BTW. Our answers to your questions sometimes are based on the embassy you will interview in. So if that is going to be Serbia, then we would ask you to change your profile to reflect Serbia so we can help you with the best answer for that embassy.

Go to the top right of this page select your name (it's on the upper right-hand corner)>my profile>[below your picture on the right column] edit my profile. Scroll to the bottom and fill in "Immigration Info". There now we can better serve you.

Hi Greenbaum

as mentioned

I have received case No

invoice No

DS160 is completed and I now have access to book and pay the fee - however i am still awaiting the oficial notification of case No as well as the package 3 notice from the embassy -

is there anything preventing me for making the payment and Associated booking an appointment next month ?

i am still uncertain if i need to upload the DS160 and additional documents - or simply bring them to the Interview ?

You have to wait for the US Embassy in your fiancé's country to receive your package from the NVC. The FAQ at the start of this forum topic has the links to check the NVC status.

I'm in the same place as you. Completed the DS160 and have all my supporting documents. Anxiously waiting for the US Embassy to receive our case.

I believe you interview in Sweden. Here are the instructions for that embassy. The US Embassy in Stockholm will send you Packet 3 via email- this takes about a week to three weeks after you get your NVC case number hard copy. But if you want to go ahead and begin gathering below is what is in the packet .

P.S you should join other member's over on the Scandinavian forum

First link Embassy instructions and second is medical instructions.

Called today (25th) and got our case number, apparently it was assigned on the 22nd (Friday) even though we called at like 7pm est on the 22nd and they said they hadn't assigned one yet. Odd.

But yay!
