I have a question about the I-134 Affidavit of Support. As of right now I have last years tax returns, 4 years worth of w2's , and 6 months paystubs. Do i also need to have a employment letter as well If I have all those things? I'm just asking because I work remotely and would need to send my employer a request to mail me one if it's needed.

More then this is overkill (4 years is way too much). This is what most embassy are looking for. Your not in a difficult embassy to interview in so my answer may have been different. Keep in mind you will be in front of the CO for not more then 5-10 min.

EVIDENCE OF SUPPORT: You must submit any evidence which will show that you and members of your family who will accompany you are not likely to become public charges while in the United States. Visa petitioner (US Citizen) will have to complete form 1-134. If the petitioner does not qualify as a sponsor, a Joint-Sponsor should ALSO be presented (any US Citizen living in the US or Legal Permanent Resident), who will also have to complete form 1-134. Both, the Sponsor (Petitioner) as well as the Joint-Sponsor, will have to present last year's income tax return transcripts. W2 form and proof of current and sustainable income (e.g letter of employment on letterhead including salary and start date, most recent salary receipts, bank accounts, value of properties, etc.). You may download the 1-134 affidavit at: https://www.uscis.gov/i-134 Get the IRS transcript in place of the actual 1040 here: https://www.irs.gov/Individuals/Get-Transcript Use this link to determine the income levels needed https://www.uscis.gov/i-864p.

Called this morning they told me would be 6 weeks. They said I should call back then ...needless to say was bummed but not defeated.... so I called back tonight.... Our case was recieved today!  She also said shouldn't be long to get a case number because k1's are being expedited :)

NOA 2: 11-7

NVC recieved: 11-20

Congratulations!

6 weeks for it to be received? Or the case number?

Anyone know why k1s are being expedited? How long it's been going and until when? @Greenbaum

Thanks :)

I asked the first woman "to be recieved?" she said "yes can take up to up to 6 weeks to recieved." This response just didn't set right with me, Which is why I called back tonight. Glad I did.

Not sure if it makes a difference, the first time i called this morning I called the immigrant visa number. Tonight I called the nonimmigrant visa number.

6 weeks for it to be received? Or the case number? This is their standard reply. Ignore and follow the PDF for best results.

Anyone know why k1s are being expedited? K-1's have always been in the front of the line. They just like telling you that to make you feel important.

How long it's been going and until when? @Greenbaum  Since Christmas of 1948. Does it matter?

There you have it. All the news from NVC worth printing.

Thanks Greenbaum!

Didn't realize k1s are at the front of the line. Thought it was something new since everyone's been harping about getting expedited. Thought they were doing so because of a new policy. Thanks again

I received our NOA2 with a date on the mailed paper of like 11/4. I called today on 11/21 the number 1- 603-334-0888 and asked if the NVC had received my case. They had received it and gave me my case number. They said my information would be sent to the US Embassy in Manila shortly. The lady on the phone was very friendly. She told me that she had my email on file and I should receive an email from them once they ship it.

I'm exactly sure what to do next but it is my understand that as soon as Manila receives it, we can call to schedule the interview, medical, and CFO. Supposedly appointments in Manila are 3 weeks out. So Maybe we are like 5-8 weeks from our interview? I don't know but it is exciting!
