I just called NVC today and it looks like my Petition arrived in the building on 11/26. But they finally scanned it in today (so FYI I guess there are two dates for anyone out there with the same question). Unfortunately, it has not been assigned a case # yet.

on your interview date soon :)

Yeah we got an interview assignment today as well. Same, 31st of March. I dunno why I was hoping for an earlier appointment time. *sighs*

Same, I had hoped for something in early March. I didn’t think March would fill up so quickly! But at least we both have our date now. Good luck!

Likewise! I think we might email them and see if we can request an earlier date.

Hola! Please, I have a question as well,  regarding this affidavits of support. Form I-134.

Although we can see the case online as 'ready', I haven't been contacted by the Embassy in Argentina yet. So I'm trying to figure out as much as I can about the paperwork.

I read all the documents have to be the original at the time of the interview? Does that mean that my fiancè has to mail the paperwork to me , or can we present scan copies?

Please, any help will be really appreciate it! thanks in advanced from Buenos Aires!

I'm Montenegrin citizen but waiting to have interview at Serbian US embassy since my country doesn't do k1.

Recently Montenegrin and Serbian relations became really bad. Setting on fire each others flags on embassies. And so on...

I'm worried that this can affect out visa. My fiancé wonders if our petition can be transferred at another embassy for interview?

Stay connected to the embassy's website for the most current status. No you can't transfer a case because you are worried. The embassy will make arrangements for your interview if and when things change. If you have an appointment keep the appointment.

You'll find eveyrthing you need to know here in the P3 for Argentina:

Next, this is the Argentina US Embassy webpage:

Every document including the form I-134 can be presented as a photocopy an original is not required.

The US Embassy in Argentina ask that all legal documents to be translated by a professional. The consul at the embassy warned beneficiary's to apostille and translate their birth certificate, because without the apostille it was not going to have any legal value overseas to do the AOS.  So, have your translation completed with a professional service and ensure that you have it apostille for the interview.

This is a thoughtful article about the process that another VJ'r about his experience with the process for the interview.

We received an email back from the Sydney Consulate today (Monday morning 01/06 Aus time). They said that they were unfortunately booked full until the time slot they assigned us. *Sighs* oh well, it was worth a shot. At least we know the date now and it's not too far off in the end of things.

Greenbaum, would you happen to have the P3 for Hungary? Thanks in advance

One more items if you would please. We need a little housekeeping on your end. Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline OR your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine their Embassy. The country that should be used is the country where the interview will take place.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile that sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question with factual information.

Go to the top right of this page select your name (it's on the upper right-hand corner)>my profile>[below your picture on the right column] edit my profile. Scroll to the bottom and fill in "Immigration Info". There now we can better serve you.

Once you finish that then return and you will see a flag in your profile. Select it and see what wonderful information will open up for you.

Thanks

Would anyone be able to advise or has had any experience with not quite having enough time left on their passport?  I hoping to get an interview date either this month or early February but my passport expires mid August this year and the embassy website suggests having 8 months of validity left on the passport when attending the interview.  I feel it would be best to get it renewed but I’m not sure if it would have any affect on the details submitted with the petition and I-94 travel details having the old passport number??
