Interesting, didnt know that, thank you. we are filling out the ds-160 since we got notification monday it is going to london - when it says Application Receipt/Petition Number  - they want your receipt number from NOA1/NOA2, not your NVC case number right?

NOA1/2 number yes.

Be aware that some interviewing embassies/consulates assign the interview appointments, others allow the petitioner to choose the appointment time. Check to see how your embassy/consulate does it.

Good luck on your immigration journey, and Happy Holidays !! 🎄

Completed: K1/K2 (271 days) - AOS/EAD/AP (134 days) - ROC (279 days)

a little assistance for the DS-160

where it says "Do you have documentation to establish that you have received vaccinations in accordance with U.S. law?

our answer is NO

and it asks for an explaition

for that do I put
"will be scheduling medical examination before interview at embassy?"

You answer yes as the beneficiary will have completed their vaccinations prior to leaving their country with the visa.

the affidavit of support i believe thats the one you give you fiance/e for the interview if you made one already use that one but make sure it's updated.

like for me i'm using my estimated income for this year (providing all my bank letters, and employment letters) but i'm providing my w-2 from 2018 since we didnt do taxes yet.

Most embassies are requiring Tax Transcripts from the IRS.gov website. USEM is one that requires the TT. Be sure to start early on the TT because some can download when online others have to be mailed and can take 2-4 weeks.

Doesn't it depends on countries? As much as I know, some allow it, some don't.

When doing the support of evidence (round two), do they want us to add to the one we created for the petition or a brand new document?

I reviewed the required documents both from UK website and the P3 letter and their is nothing in those sources that require a "support of evidence". Where did you receive that information from? I'd be curious to know because this is the first I am hear that terminology.

Also, you would be better to leave this group and move to your sub-forum and review the threads there where there is helpful information and those who are or have processed through the UK.

It asks for intended date of arrival on the ds-160, how can you do that when you have no idea when the interview is or approval of visa?

Just make a guesstimate on the timelines that you are aware of at this time. This is one of those "stupid" questions that appear on the form with no rhyme or reason for the question. You can choose any date it does not matter.

To confirm, you can get the interview date once you apply for the ds-160, correct?

Most embassies that correct as they will ask for the DS-160 confirmation number for you to get to the payment instruction page then after payment the scheduling page.

Is this an across the board requirement or just for the UK? You can attend the interview with your fiancé at USEM and sometimes you can stand at the window during the interview. Each embassy is different, so it is better to check with the embassy webpage or others from that country. When you pontificate and answer then it can be taken to heart, but it gives the person false hope. So be sure you know the rules for their embassy before you answer. Just my experience.

Those are very generic instructions. I wouldn't use them. I didn't find the requirement for "support of evidence" but I did see "Evidence of financial support" and  "Evidence of Relationship".  Did you mean one of those?

I have included both the VJ website where you should go to ask questions and links below for the correct information where most come from the Embassy's website. Many neglect to look their first.

There are experts over in the sub-forum for your country located here http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/99-united-kingdom/  This is where others from your country who are processing or those who have completed their interview and they can guide you on their experience. A TON of information and help there.

When you have your interview and the interview is taking place after April 15 then you must have TT from IRS.gov for the interview. If the interview is before April 15 then you use a TT from 2018.

We are applying for the ds-160 and my fiancee is here for a little sabbatical. would it be worth it to wait until he returns in jan and works again (delaying the application) or put unemployed and that he is on a sabbatical but returning to work in jan when he goes back to england?
