Our case number with the nvc was assigned on December 5 and i logged into the nvc and says “a ds 160 must be filled out in order for a consular section to process the case” is this normal or do i need to fill out the ds 160 now?  Yes you must complete the DS-160 so that you can schedule your embassy appointment. Go to Hank's website for step by step instructions so that you don't make a costly mistake.

Because when i called the nvc they said i will be receiving instructions from the embassy (embassy doesn't send out any instructions they are on the US embassy Manila's website. Link is below) when they receive it.  This is for a k1 visa in the Philippines. Thank you for any help

Here are some instuctions for beginning your journey there in the PH. Their are links to the documents needed for the interview, instructions for the medical and a step by step website created by my friend @Hank_. His link is also below.

Additional information can be found here:

Also, there is a sub-forum for the Philippines here on VJ that you should be a part of. It's a good place to read what others are experiencing which will only prepare you for your interview.

Manila US Embassy states that a scanned copy of the signed I-134 is fine, if you don't have the original.

Called NVC just now and I was informed that our case got there today (12/06). No case number yet, obviously. But it's there! ❤ NOA2 date is 11/18.

Have a great weekend!

Now that NVC has received your case file give them a few weeks then email them requesting your case file #   https://www.visaconnection-philippines.com/nvc.html

Once your case file ships from NVC watch for your CEAC status to show READY .. at that time you can schedule your interview.

Same here! Do we wait to fill out the DS160 or wait for confirmation from the Consulate/Embassy?
