NVC approval 10/30/2019

NVC sent 11/12/2019

Vietnam Consulate received 11/18/2019

P3 letter sent 11/28/2019 (Ho Chi Minh City GMT +7)

Delivery company tried to deliver the Consulate letter earlier but they saw the house being rebuilt. They didn't call her when they were at the house. Someone at the delivery company called her to confirm the address. They are redelivering the letter 11/27/19 in the afternoon. I thought with the house being rebuilt it was cause some issue with the delivery but I guess that did not happen. It just happen to delay the delivery process just a bit.

Since many of our answers, others included, will also be confused I suggest you go back into your profile to change your CR-1 to K1. But of course it's always your choice what you want for your profile. Just saying.

A little housekeeping in order please. Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline OR your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine their Embassy. The country that should be used is the country where the interview will take place.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile that sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question with factual information.

Go to the top right of this page select your name (it's on the upper right-hand corner)>my profile>[below your picture on the right column] edit my profile. Scroll to the bottom and fill in "Immigration Info". There now we can better serve you.

Once you finish that then return and you will see a flag in your profile. Select it and see what wonderful information will open up for you.

Thanks

It's thanksgiving. I have my appointment to put the turkey in the oven. Now I sit back and wait till it's done. I'm 1 hour into the meal preparations. I just don't know why it takes so long. I'm freaking out about now, not knowing when it will get finished cooking. Has this happened to anyone else? Does anyone know what's next?

Happy Thanksgiving to those who celebrate.

I just finish helping my fiancee do the USTravelDocs and fill ds-160. We are the part where we are setting up for delivery or pickup of passport.

What is a P3?

P3 refers to a Packet 3 letter of instructions that is specific to your embassy's. This is something that lists all the instructions, required documents and such that the embassy requires for you to interview. It's sent normally via email to the beneficiary once your case arrives at the embassy.

I would show you yours but I don't know your embassy. Instructions are below on how to complete your profile and timeline.

If you scroll back through this thread you will see where I have posted the P3 for different people. Download and open to get an idea what a P3 looks like.

Follow up to my earlier post as I now know your embassy. If you travel over to the Sub-forum for the PI you'll be interacting with others for USEM and their visa experience. Go to the blue ribbon at the top of the page, select "forum" and scroll 3/4 of the page down to arrive at the sub-forum links.

Second suggestion is to go to the US embassy for the Philippines and you will find the P3 letter as it is posted their and not sent to PI applicants.

NOTE:

The PSA in the Philippines is notorious for misspellings and missing information on birth certificates. You should look over your BC to make sure everything is correct as well as your passport. Now is the time to get that corrected. You might want to get a copy of your NBI to see if there are any problems with it. Again, now is a better time to get it corrected if you find something wrong. Be sure to use all your AKA's when they do the search. Make sure your passport doesn't expire any time before a year from now as this is a long process and you could be running around getting a new one at the last minute. So get it renewed if it is expiring in 2019.

Also, there is a sub-forum for the Philippines here on VJ that you should be a part of. It's a good place to read what others are experiencing which will only prepare you for your interview.

So since last week was Thanksgiving I should wait the week of Dec 16 to see if NVC has received my case?

The PDF states that it take approximately 30 days to get to NVC and since you were approved around 11/21 then the week of 12/21 would be more advantages but their never anything stopping you from calling whenever you want. This has been our experience so your mileage may vary.
