Hi all!

My fiance sent our I-129F to Lewisville on Nov 15th, it was received on Nov 18th and he said he's received our text this afternoon with receipt number starting with WAC. Very excited!

Any tips on stuff we should be doing to get ahead on the next steps right now or do we just sit and wait patiently?

Congrats!

Got my hard copy today,  now the months of limbo to get thru,  which is nice cause at least getting it turned in isn't stressing me out anymore now its just work and mass amounts of overtime That does.  Fingers crossed & positive vibes we all have a smooth ride thru this processes!

Got my NOA1 in the mail today! I opened the letter before work and did a happy dance. It might not mean a super lot but it meant the world to me to know they have it.  Been stressed the last few days because I never got the text or email but i have the hard copy and feel like I can breath a bit better now.

Very good you are on your way!

Hi,

What are you basing the filing date as? Date the application was mailed? Date the application was delivered/received/signed for? Date of the NOA1?

Thanks.

Hi,

I believe it's the date of NOA1, as the adjudicating times for NOA2 are tracked from the date USCIS received our application.

To other more experienced members, please correct me if I'm wrong :)

All official dates are garnered from the NOA1 and NOA2 dates. Dates aren't important to any process then the timeline here on VJ and at times they are not accurate.
