Hope everybody is having a good Valentine's Day!

As I await for my noa2 i had a quick question. I was reading that in the interview or somewhere along the line I will be asked for pay stubs. I work with my family in a small trucking business and we don't provide pay stubs. Is there any other thing I could provide for proof or am I in trouble?

If you were to go to the sub-forum, and bring your friend along, you could ask their and not be dependent on someone from Germany, Ghana or Morocco to answer your question. In Michigan you have the right to get a pay stub from your family business if you are being paid hourly.

This what works for most embassy. If needed substitute and explain at the interview. 

 

EVIDENCE OF SUPPORT: You must submit any evidence which will show that you and members of your family who will accompany you are not likely to become public charges while in the United States. Visa petitioner (US Citizen) will have to complete form I-134. If the petitioner does not qualify as a sponsor, a Joint-Sponsor should ALSO be presented (any US Citizen living in the US or Legal Permanent Resident), who will also have to complete form I-134. Both, the Sponsor (Petitioner) as well as the Joint-Sponsor, will have to present last year's income tax return transcripts. W2 form and proof of current and sustainable income (e.g letter of employment on letterhead including salary and start date, most recent salary receipts, bank accounts, the value of properties, etc.). You may download the I-134 affidavit at https://www.uscis.gov/i-134 Get the IRS transcript in place of the actual 1040 here: https://www.irs.gov/Individuals/Get-Transcript Use this link to determine the income levels needed https://www.uscis.gov/i-864p.

With that and proof of deposits I have made in the bank and scans of checks should I be good?

Just downloaded the tax return transcript for 2019. So I can have both the 1040 or the transcript, if they'd rather see that. In the past, for my immigration processes, I had used the 1040s, but I'm not up with what they've been looking for in more recent years, so might as well have both! Most are moving toward the exclusive use of the TT. It's not as easy to forge as a 1040 is. Thank you for the accolades.

No. Because there are other elements to the financials. I answered you with what you need including if you get a letter from the employer (details are above) plus all the other you should be fine.

Yeah, I didn't mean just that alone. I meant can I do that in place of pay stubs

The letter is in lieu of pay stubs and with TT and W2's you should be OK.

So, following the estimated timeline, we're about 20 days away from our application "maybe" being approved. I'm sort of expecting an RFE because I'll never not be a pessimist but this is getting closer and closer and I'm super excited and I had to express this excitement somewhere.
