NOA1 was received on Nov 6!

Hoping to get some good news soon.

Congratulations.

We need a little housekeeping on your end. Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline OR your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine their Embassy. The country that should be used is the country where the interview will take place.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile that sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question with factual information.

Go to the top right of this page select your name (it's on the upper right-hand corner)>my profile>[below your picture on the right column] edit my profile. Scroll to the bottom and fill in "Immigration Info". There now we can better serve you.

Once you finish that then return and you will see a flag in your profile. Select it and see what wonderful information will open up for you.

Thanks

You have to meet the lending parameters of the bank or lending institution which they use to make their decision on a number of financial criteria as a whole. Income is just one.

What about the income requirements for the k1 visa or even the change of status? I agree with him on looking for a new home because, if everything goes well, I cannot imagine living with his roommate so we need to have our own place and I don't know if this could affect in any way

Yeah! Horrible, that's why he doesn't want to wait until I get there, get a job, save some money and then getting the new home, he wants to do it in advance but again I don't know if by the time I go to the interview and present his taxes and everything the mortgage could be a problem

Everyone pays rent or has a mortgage and they approved everyday. It's not going to have an affect on whether you guys are approved or not. So move forward with your plans.

The waiting sucks for sure but a few more months is no big deal. After that, this will be a memory to cherish and remind us to appreciate every day.

Come on March!! Or February??!!

I received my noa1 on nov 6th. Im going to visit my soon to be wife in Mexico in March. What should I do if I receive the NOA2 while im in Mexico? Is there something I need to do immediately that would need me to be home?

As far as I know the NOA2 would only day if your petition has been approved or denied, if you receive an RFE then it's different cause you need to send whatever they need asap so you can complete the process right away, think about how long you're planning staying with your soon to be wife

Jump up and down for joy. Like this :dance::dance:

Nothing can be done while you are waiting on NOA2. So go and have fun and don't worry about anything as it can all be put together in a matter of days once you return. Most everything after NOA2 is the beneficiary doing all the leg work.

I'm flying over to the States on Feb 19th for a few months (come back on May 12th) while we wait for NOA2 and the next steps of the process. It's just under a year since we have both seen eachother.
It was planned out of thin air but I'm so excited that I get some time with him and it's going to help with how long this wait and process has been.
It's been really hard on us both with being apart for a year and missing someone so far away but it's just a testament to how strong we all are here and it makes our relationships that much more special.
You have all been a great help and it's comforting knowing there are others going through the same pains and excitment to talk with an experiance this process with. I hope we all have a smooth process and keep eachother informed.
