Hi, I have a question, received our RFE, and need to send "Intent to Marry" letter; and supply further evidence for "2 year meeting requirement".  The question I have is in regards to the "Intent to Marry" letter; do you know if it is O.K. to have a photo copy of this letter with both of our signatures; or do both signatures have to be wet signatures?

They do not accept photo copies of these, they have to be wet signatures... any one else with a different answer?

Wet signature is not required. Two letters, one from you and the other from the fiance, will suffice the requirement for letters of intent. They can be emailed to the other and printed for the interview.

This is the requirement from the I-129f instructions from USCIS/

Evidence for Petitions to Classify a Fiancé(e) as a K-1 Non-immigrant In addition to the evidence described above, you must submit evidence of: A. Intention to Marry Within 90 Days of Entry. Submit evidence that you and your fiancé(e) intend to marry within 90 days of your fiancé(e)’s entry as a K-1 non-immigrant. Evidence of your intention to marry may include statements of intent to marry signed by both you and your fiancé(e) or any other evidence that establishes, by a preponderance of the evidence, your mutual intention.

Nothing that says it has to be a "wet signature". This condition has been true since 2013.

True! What I did is I printed out the letter, signed for it then I scanned it and sent it to my fiancee then she printed out and signed it too, hers in wet ink and mine just scanned

You are well within the USCIS processing times https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/

When you get to the case inquiry time you can ask USCIS.

You have to wait.

They are working on all our petitions...

It takes time.

I am waiting too, my case was received the 14th of November.... no Noa2 yet.

Yup... still waiting here too. Received date was 8th of November. So we're now at 136 days. 😕

Yep, still waiting here too. It's coming soon. It sucks because the news will be great, but we can't really do anything with it yet. Get documents together of course, but no interview, can't even think about traveling yet. Just sucks!

But an approval would be nice!

That is good news. Can you go into your timeline and update your dates. Also, from a previous visa you still have dates entered. This would be a good time to erase those dates so your timeline reflects your current situation. Thanks.

The wait is taxing you I am sure. Things were moving slow before this time and now it's crawling almost to a standstill. Keep your faith this to will pass.

Can you do us a favor and go into your profile and select the country where you will do your interview from? Here are the instructions in the event that you need a refresher on how to do it.

Hi BandQ. The stage that you are at it is the longest wait time of the K-1 process. I wouldn't expect your case to be adjudicated for 5-7 months under these conditions we find ourselves in.  The VJ timeline is only a guess and is based on ppl that keep up with their timelines accurately. By staying in touch here you more likely to determine from others where about you are in the que.

We need a little housekeeping on your end. Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline OR your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine their Embassy. The country that should be used is the country where the interview will take place.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile that sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question with factual information.

Once you finish that then return and you will see a flag in your profile. Select it and see what wonderful information will open up for you.

Thanks
