Maybe next I'll practice merging, merging this thread with a thread where there really is a post the should be reported.

In any event the other thread is nice and clean now, and remains on-topic with a meaningful issue, while we can have some fun with this one.

the above posts prior to yodrak's was part of another thread. he split them off into a new thread for practice. one of the things moderator's get tested on apparently.

I think you did the right thing, Yodrak. Comments like "this thread is going to get way out of control" or "I'm sure this thread will be closed soon", before the discussion even begins is almost a surefire way to make sure it does just that.
