No one can say for sure. We have seen a week to months for some. Your mileage may vary.

Please be advised that no advance assurance can be given as to when or whether a visa will be issued. You should NOT give up your job, dispose of your property, or make any final travel arrangements until you receive your passport with the visa.

Are you just asking in general?

did you interview yet? as your timeline does not indicate any interview date and NOA2 was July

if so,  did the CO say approved?

I would like to know that how much time does it takes to get your passport back after interview in Islamabad Embassy Pakistan?

I suggest you read current threads related to Islamabad.  Because Pakistan does not cooperate with the US when it comes to police report requirements, many applicants are placed in extended AP while the background checks are completed.

That's interesting that Pakistan does not cooperate. Hadn't head that before. Good information to know.

I've only seen this comment here on VJ.   I was told  that Pakistan did not have a centralized system in place to organize reports from all the districts so the police reports are not trusted.   Its not as much as a cooperation issue as an outdated system.  That coupled with the possible corruption amongst the districts makes them unreliable.

That is what I meant.  Their system does not comply with US immigration requirements in the same way that other countries do, so Pakistani applicants undergo extra scrutiny.

In addition Long AP isn't always pertaining to a criminal or background check.  Most of it has to do with documentation.   There system of issuing forms is a mess most don't get birth certificates made until they are in a situation like this (immigration) therefore having a late filed birth registration causes a red flag and they will do more research.  Or it can be divorce..standard divorce by 3 but not filed through the court until immigration is needed.   Ive even seen on here were members change their fathers name (due to death or divorce) and the embassy does not accept the documents listing the stepfather.

If you haven't already, you should check in at the Asia:South Regional Forum. You will find other folks similarly situated as yourself in AP limbo.

Where did you get that information from?

US embassy verse themselves in the countries laws, customs and documentation and base their requirements around that.    Islamabad though will "sometimes" ask over and above the required documentation.

Many Pakistanis receive their visas within 3 weeks of the interview.   Some wait longer.   There is really no way to tell or a rhyme or reason.   Even if you get the dreaded questionnaire via email you may be one of the lucky ones that gets the visa in two months.  Try to be patient and trust on Allah.  Trying to guess your fate can make you crazy.

But in the case of a country’s law enforcement and data-keeping being inadequate for US immigration purposes,  the consulate will not just chalk it up to cultural differences and overlook it.   Just look at the number of applicants from Pakistan who get the additional questionnaire vs applicants from other countries...   There are entire multi-page threads about that here on VJ.

Can you provide evidence of this?
