He would know it's just a joke. I'll send this to him and see what he thinks if that would put your mind at ease. He's hardly likely to get really upset about something as silly as this. And anyway, he benefited from the Netflix subscription too so he is likely to find that part kind of funny.

There is no very fine line. There is no line at all. As I have mentioned to you before, he does not take his temper out on me. It is reserved for those who deserve it. I know you think you know from what you've heard from our mutual sort-of acquaintances that he's some brute, but that's just nonsense my ex is flinging about. Should you ever have the misfortune of meeting my ex at one of those incredibly boring breakfasts, please tell him to quit it. It's gotten really old, and if we ever move back to LA (which could happen), I don't need that kind of reputation attaching to us.
