Apologies ahead for creating this when i am yet to even read the content of the RFE as i am yet to receive the letter in the mail, but email and website says RFE sent.

I get sleepless nights and can't understand how one gets RFE after sending loads of pictures of our family introduction along with wedding pictures with both families,

pictures of us at different events over time and parties together and some times with same event attire, i sent in birth certificate of child we have together with pictures evidences, wedding certificate sent also reflect we have a child together before the marriage and wedding was from an acceptable court, there are pictures of us celebrating my child's birthday together.

how does this even work?

The only thing i did not have my wife do is change her last name to mine, which in my opinion is a choice she can do if she wants to.

sometimes, it's just something missing in the form, like in our case, we got rfe because we are missing N/A in the other form .

Having a child together isn't proof of anything other than the fact that you had sex.

That’s not true. It’s evidence of having met in person as well,  but could be out of the 2 year window.

To the OP, it could be as minor as them losing your passport size photos. I’ve seen that before, you included something but they misplaced it so you just send it again and get approved.

I sure wouldn;t waste time wondering what it could be. It could be something as simple as a forgotten signature, a page lost. Just wait and chill. It is well.

Well, maybe this is it, i can't remember sending my passport-style photos, I must have read a part which says "if beneficiary is in the US" and interpret that to mean not to send any photo.

reading it again, I believe i should have included mine, and skip theirs.

I will head to Walgreens first thing in the morning.

Thanks to everyone.

...or you can just wait and see what the RFE really is about instead of already spending money on something that may not be the issue. Seriously, relax. There is nothing you can do except wait for the RFE and then send them whatever it is they want.

There is no "2 year window" for this visa, but even for a K-1, it would never satisfy that requirement.

So you sent lots and lots of pics? Lol. I remember having this inane argument with @Ebunoluwa years ago, who insisted that one needed something like 200+ pics to get through the Lagos consulate! I had 12 carefully chosen ones, and the rest is history.

No shaking sha. Let's have an update when you get the RFE.
