Mild cognitive impairment and AOS interview

My husband developed a bad memory impairment after we got married. He hardly remembers  things and can hardly do things by himself.  He gets lost in the subway, so i have to follow him to most places he goes to.

Our AOS interview is near and i know he cant remember basic things even when we met and even my birthday.

We have medical records showing all of this and we have a lot of evidences showing real marriage.

How will his present condition affect the AOS interview.

I doubt you will find anything specific regarding your husband’s condition.  You say you have the medical information or doctor’s notes explaining this, so make sure the IO is well aware of the condition.  You can submit a request for accommodations, but in reality, there really isn’t anything an IO can do other than to use the evidence of your marriage, your side during the interview, and of course take into account the condition of your husband.

Good Luck!
