MY IN-LAWS WERE APPROVED!!! We just let them know just now. I know everything is paused until at least Jan 31 due to the ban, but glad to still see progress getting done, and now to await NVC :) I hope everyone else still awaiting answers gets excellent news very soon ❤️

HSsweethearts,

Congrats on your in-laws’ approvals! There are several threads on the NVC stage on here but their main focus in IR-1/IR-2 visas. This threat

may be something you wanna join. Have you received your case numbers at NVC or you have already submitted the docs? Crazy as it may sound, but my parents’ cases got documentarily qualified in less than 1 day. With the current ban in place, that doesn’t help much. But I have been relived that we didn’t have to resubmit any documents which could potentially further delay our Interviews. Good luck with the NVC stage!

I would suggest proceeding with NVC stage and submitting all the documents. They would need medical once the interview scheduled, so most likely next year. But getting DQed is the next step, especially that we don’t know at this point what could be next in terms of executive orders.

Hello Azuka,

so sorry to hear that, when did you file and what center was your application sent to?
I filled for my Mum but I’ve been scared they won’t let her come here since Nigeria was one of the countries banned.

please advise.

@Guess who I filed last year October.. My application was sent to California. If your Mum gets approved and a visa is issued to her the banned won't affect her. The only hold is the shut down of the US embassy due to covid-19.
