Lucky you, I went through the last of my beer earlier this week and I only have tequila left. I told my wife that I won't drink any beer until Thanksgiving and she laughed pretty hard at me. I am trying to see how much weight I lose drinking tequila and not beer.

I was sent out earlier for cupcakes.

I just had a cupcake.

I haven't even bought a wedding dress yet, so I should control myself around the cupcakes.

I have a woman like that where I work.... She is actually really nice but she just has that face and persona. It took a good year for her to open up to me due to working in different rooms.

It was funny one time at work right after I started there my boss sent out a survey to everyone to describe everyone in the branch, and one guy accidentally sent it out to everyone in the branch. He described her as having a "Resting Cyber Face" since we work in IT. We all laughed and he didn't get in trouble at all

I know at times I can have an RBF, but only if someone has really peeved me. I get that from my momma, and her momma. There's this candid photo at our wedding reception where mom is totally doing it, and I'll always remember why lol. Still, why do random strangers care what my face or emotional state is like? Generally I mind my own business, and am not in the habit of studying faces nor would I presume so much as to tell that person what they should be doing with it.

Too much alcohol also packs on the pounds. Or you could eat the cupcakes and just accept whatever weight you'll be in the dress.

You will lose a little weight, to be sure.  But more importantly, you will become MUCH smarter!

Why?  Because tequila kills the weakest brain cells off, making the stronger ones work better.

I was reading this thing today (on Jezebel, I think) that was advice on how to look good in your wedding dress:

(1) Buy a wedding dress that fits you.

(2) Put the wedding dress on.

After tonight, I am cutting back on the booze. My week and a half in England and Scotland was like being a little boat bobbing around on a sea of alcohol. :dead: On the other hand, being low grade tipsy for a week and a half (except when my fiance's daughter was in my care) helped SIGNIFICANTLY with having to deal with my ex and my mother-in-law-to-be!

I know that's the truth. The bad thing is that I opened up the refrigerator and I only have about 2 shots left of it and I don't feel like driving 15 minutes to the ABC store

Meh. I have classic 'birthing hips' and an ample booty. None of those skinny gowns were ever going to fit on me no matter how much I cut down. I went near vegan for a year (and the stress took care of the rest..), because that's how far in advance I'd purchased the dress. Ended up being three sizes smaller than street size which was nice. They barely had to do any adjustments in the end...  well they did.. to the train, and then the day of the wedding was such a mess, no one could figure out how to actually pin the train how it was supposed to be. Ended up just letting it down.

Wedding dress shopping is honestly the worst. I ended up losing a lot of weight (stress-induced) before the wedding, and I had to have the dress taken in less than a week before the big day, which was its own stress. It didn't help that my ex MISSED HIS FLIGHT to the US a couple of weeks before the ceremony. I thought I was going to have to be institutionalized after that. This was my dress (by Amy Kuschel):

This time, the groom is already in the same country as me, which helps. I'm thinking about not doing a classic wedding dress this time -- this is wedding number two for both of us, we've both had the big wedding experience, and something a little less formal would suit us both.

I rember when we use to call each other names and see people suspended weekly.

Now we have become say yes to the dress. This place has gone to the dogs

ONE PICTURE OF A DRESS!

It's not like there are exactly a ton of us ladies in here. If there are guys who get to post on and on and on about specifics about guns which honestly make me want to roll my eyeballs back in my head in boredom, I should be able to post ONE picture of a dress I wore nine years ago.

Bruh!

Edit to add: I am also on topic, because I am a woman who is talking about how she dressed nicely around men on a particular day in December 2010. :P

Not wishing in any way to denigrate Amy but is a white dress appropriate?

It's kind of rude to speculate about such things. However that that dress was ivory, not white.
