I have heard of cases much similar to yours in Canada, and some happened to students of mine who found themselves dispossessed and without aide from their family (shunned) or community - so I, for one, don't think of you as a troll. This is a huge issue for Indian women - and puts them in a sticky wicked that we would not like to be in - dead serious here.

Contact USCIS as soon as possible - same with local police and women organizations. I wonder if there is a way under VAWA (Violence Against Women Act) to deal with your case. Sorry if I cannot be of much help, but I feel for you.

How he got away with three marriages? He married the girls in India but didn't file K3 for them and they never made to USA.

I saw a post by him seeking another girl now on shaadi.com (India portal for matrimonial). This guy needs to be behind bars.

The family I stay with now has contacted Catholic charity and next appointment is only in Aug. I wish I could go back to India right now but who will marry there a girl who is still considered married or divorced (when I get divorced)? I don't belong to rich family. I swear to God that I am seking help honestly and not just for the sake of it. I have done nothing wrong. I wish my parents would have done more investigation about this guy before hand.

if thts the case u cant go to india and seek help from family members i think u took better action by contacting catholic charity

also if u have those letters , evidence , and the matrimonial site pictures where even after his marriage he is dating girls keep those all proofs without letting him know

believe me there have been umpteempth number of cases where the females are cheated from india

many a times they are never called just married n the husband leaves them reason they dont get the marriage registered in the indian court and how will the govt. us govt , and indian govt, know unless until it is registered ????

there is no means for a large countrys govt. with so diversity in population to know about these marriages , trust me !

If he is still married to 3 women, you don't need a divorce. You're not legally married.

I am 26 years old. My US citizen spouse married me in India and there was no indication that he doesn't like me. I came to US on K3 visa. I don't know anybody else in this whole country except my in-laws family.

After 5 days he started flirting around. Then I came to know that he married 3 girls in India prior to me and used them for his pleasure and abondoned them without divorce. He kicked me out too and thretened the people who provided me shelter with gun. I was so afraid of his gun and didn't know english and rules of this country. Some people from my country came forward and helped me with shelter.

I am still on K3 after 6 months being in usa. K3 is valid upto Dec 2008.

Please help what do I do to apply for EAD and other forms, social security card etc.? I have no money and no medical.

How can fraud case be filed agaisnt spouse? Will it affect my future case processing?

As other people mentioned, you may need to find out other 3 girls were married legally or not.

If he is NOT married to other girls by the law, there is not much you can do.

You have to file I-485 Adjustment of Status first to get your conditional green card.

Any local organization to help immigration matters can do it for you.

Then if he still doing threatening and things like that, file the claim to local police to get police report.

If you have official police report, you can get court order for him not to approach to you.

Eventually you can make the case against him to get divorced, and lift the condition for your conditional green card without him involved.

Maybe some support from him after divorce for financial issue.

If he is really married to other girls by the law, it is serious issue.

It is crime called polygamy.

It that case, you can get attorney by the help from local non-profit organization.

Then come to local police and US CIS.

In some country, if you want to get married, you have to get notarized "Single" certificate from your country's embassy.

So if he got married officially by local law, it means he may get forged document for that purpose, or some loophole in the system.

Any way, in this case, he committed the crime for polygamy, and also violated immigration law by giving false information for petition.

In this case, your K3 will be revoked, but with attorney, local police, and US CIS, you can get witness protection program help plus some special type of visa for witness for crime investigation.

we are very sorry to hear what happened to you. Others have already mentioned path you can take to get some legal help, Catholic charities and even File under Domestic violence, it can be mental abuse also as this case not just physical abuse.

In the legal term everything is based on Fact, you might be right but you have to be able to prove it.

You said you saw him on Shaadi.com, I would log on to Shaadi.com and print his profile saying whether he's married or single, and looking to marry again. Also There's a section in Shaadi.com for comment, I would report him to the Shaadi.com website administrator. Better yet after you print it or find his profile, put it out for everyone to see , put him out to the PUBLIC.

Don't blame yourself, you are not the 1st one who have been victimized by those goons, here's a few links of folks that went to india, got married and left the women there, sometimes marry many times. It's a little bit different since you are here, but I would expose this fellow to everybody can see what he's doing. Put his shaadi profile out.

It's sad but hopefully others will be exempt from this kind of scam, Most states now in INDIA requires the couple to registered the marriage i think started this year, prior to this year, it was on a voluntary basis, it was not compulsery.

one more thing.. you cant divorce your husband in india based on the fact he has 3 other ladies you know that. you can divorce in the USA for one thing. if you go back to india still married your gonna have a big problem. Not just with your family but, with the court system trying to divorce. thats why I am saying if you must divorce do it before you go to india. secondly, do you have police reports? etc,,,,,
