OK first I know this makes no since but i'm wondering if it has happened to anybody else .

my wife recieved the bill for the Affidavit of support, and she sent the payment to the NVC ,then they sent her the the Affidavit of Support form I-864.she gathered all the required information and papers and she sent them to the NVC.now the problem is we checked the online automated recorded message for our case and it said that some information were missing in our affidavit of support and they sent us a letter letting us know what we missed.till now things still ok because we thought whatever it was we can fix it.so we waited for the letter to come from the NVC for like 3 weeks and we didn't recieve it.during that time I recieved the immigrant visa processing fee bill and I sent the payment to them.well my wife and I started to wonder why she hasn't got that letter from the NVC yet so I asked her to call them.and she talked to an operator and he said that our affidavit of support was completed and that message means that they just waiting for the the immigrant visa processing fee bill to be paid from me.

that doesn't make any since to me wich leads me to think the operators there don't really know what going on with our cases.but I'm wondering if anybody has experienced the same issue before ???

I haven't experienced that situation but I have experience to know that the customer service people have NO idea what's going on. They're basically trained to read what's on the computer screen. They really don't have any more information than what we have access to. I know that I've given some them a few lessons about the immigraton process in the past!

timeline doesn't matter.

I believe that when they say that some information is missing is just what they said. They need the DS-230 form before they have all of the necessary information, and can complete their review. So if they said the I-864 is complete I wouldn't worry, just get busy on the rest.

'Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Chardonnay in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming 'WOO HOO, What a Ride'

I have to agree with this, I gave up on calling NVC - they don't know what's going on. I don't know how else to get any info, but that's not the way!

Good luck!

Ok they will tell you if something was not complete and they will also say what letter was sent, if one was. They can track byt he dates when what was sent. Please read the DS230 carefully and make sure that it is completed exactly as it says. If not applicaible write N/A do not leave any space blank, make sure that the tax portion is filled out correctly cos I beleive it wants the Adjusted Amount of Income not Gross income. I didn't fill it in cso I maked the box they where attached 3 years of tax return letters from the IRS, well they kindly sent it back and asked for that to be completed and that I had to put N/A in any question that was blank cos it did not apply. This is coming next so I thought I would let you know what i didn't do right so that it may help you to avoid the costly mistake(time wise).

As far as them not knowing well really they don't but soemtimes it is nice to be able to call just so you feel that you checked, once in a very great while you may find soemone that actually knows what is going on but please don't expect it. And other times you just need a great laugh and need to hear a person acting as if they are helpful and really they have not a clue.
