What a waste not going to interview. I feel for all those people who are waiting to be assigned an interview date or waiting for an open slot (for non immigrant visas) and here are people like OP who just decide not to show up.

Service Center: Texas Service Center SRC

Consulate: Juarez, Mexico

I-130 NOA1: 2019/03/21

I-130 NOA2: 2019/09/17

NVC DQ: 2020/01/21

Visa Approved: 2021/07/01

It was not the right decision. My husband's (then fiance)  interview was scheduled so suddenly that the only day he could do the medical was the day before the interview. He obviously couldn't have the completed document with him. He went to the interview anyway and they told him his visa would be approved when it arrived. About two weeks later, his visa arrived and he was on his way to me!

We had a similar experience in Auckland.  My then-fiance's medical was only three days prior to the interview, so the consulate did not have the report.  Once they received it, the visa issued and in hand within one week.
